00:00Bottom line is that this gets started. We know it's not enough to talk about the past. We need a vision for the future.
00:10Here's my plan for the first 100 days of the second term.
00:14I'm going to call on Congress to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.
00:26I know a lot of us in this room are taking the barge and we need the act.
00:32And we need to pass the Freedom to Vote Act.
00:38It's time to vote for the law of the land.
00:41And guess what?
00:43We're going to restore Roe v. Wade as the law of the land.
01:01Ladies and gentlemen, the man of Congress.
01:04And guess what? Y'all told me I couldn't pass the Inflation Reduction Act.
01:08Y'all told me I couldn't pass it anyway.
01:15Republicans blocked pollution reform in Congress.
01:17So I signed a historic Kentucky order on policy reform.
01:22And I'm going to come back and sign George Floyd, a police enacted law.
01:29I'm going to stop them in their program on 2025.
01:37So I'm going to pay their fair share.
01:43And the very next round, as I said, we're going to build 2 million affordable homes.
01:47Capital increases of 5% a year so corporate landlords can't, God can't.
01:54And we're going to keep relieving student debt.
02:06And we're going to maintain medical debt.
02:09We're going to make sure medical debt can no longer be put on a credit report.
02:14By no mistake, we'll wipe out medical debt for pennies on the dollar
02:18so it's not hanging over you the rest of your life.
02:22We're going to raise the federal minimum wage.
02:25Our first term will cap the cost of insulin procedures at $35.
02:32Total cost of treatment beginning in 2024 at $2,000.
02:38Some of those cancer drugs are $10,000, $12,000, $14,000 a year.
02:43But the second term, we're going to do that for not just seniors,
02:47but for everyone in America.
02:52By the way, not only saves lives, it saves taxpayers.
02:57That's what I did on the first round on Medicare.
03:01I saved the taxpayer $160 billion.
03:08I don't have to pay it because it's already priced.
03:11It is, anyway.
03:14This year, Medicare is negotiating lower prices for some of the costliest drugs on the market.
03:20That threats everything.
03:22That treats everything from heart disease to arthritis.
03:25In the next term, we're going to go further.
03:28Give Medicare the power to negotiate lower prices for 50 drugs a year, not 10.
03:33I'm not going to save lives.
03:36I'm just going to save the taxpayer another $200 billion.
03:40This is saving the taxpayer money.
03:42By the way, have you noticed all the stuff they said to be expended by?
03:45We have more to give Congress.
03:48We're going to increase their economic growth.
03:53Folks, here's what else I'm determined to do.
03:56Determine to end Trump's tax cuts to the very wealthy big corporations.
04:02Make the tax cuts fair.
04:04Ease the burden on working people.
04:07I kept my commitment to pay a penny more in federal taxes.
04:10But here's the deal.
04:12We have in America since the pandemic, 1,000 million dollars.
04:171,000.
04:19How much in federal tax have we had?
04:218.2 percent.
04:24That's the federal tax, 8.2 percent.
04:27We're going to make billionaires pay a minimum of 25 percent, which is low.
04:32No billionaire should pay the lower taxes of their teacher, their firefighter, their nurse, their peddler.
04:38That's simply ridiculous.
04:41And when we do that, that alone will generate 500 billion dollars in revenue over the next 10 years.
04:51Not only is it lower cost for families, it saves government money.
04:55We can do more on health care, child care, bringing out the federal deficit.
05:00So much more.
05:02It's not rocket science, folks.
05:04But they've convinced us that spending the money is costing saving money.
05:09Not cost you, but saving money.
05:12That's vitally important.
05:14Now, the next president of the United States could appoint two or more justices to make more.
