Biofertilizer for rice, corn undergoes inspection at UPLB plant
Microbiologists and engineers from Agri Specialist Inc., inspect sacks of biofertilizer for corn and rice farms developed by the University of the Philippines - Los Baños - Biotech inside its plant in Sta. Rosa, Laguna on July 17, 2024. According to Agri Specialist, it is willing to donate 500 metric tons of Bio-N that can be used on around 500,000 hectares of farm lands to help President Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s realize his plan of introducing biofertilizers to farmers to reduce their dependence on expensive and imported petroleum-based fertilizers.
