00:00Dearest family, friends, and distinguished guests from India and all around the world,
00:09Jai Shri Krishna!
00:12Namaskar and thank you for joining us in this sacred ceremony.
00:19At this moment, I am overwhelmed with emotions, joy, gratitude, and deep devotion as I watch
00:29these two pieces of my heart, Anant and Radhika, unite in this eternal bond.
00:39In Hindu tradition, marriage is a solemn promise, not just for this lifetime, but for seven
00:47lifetimes.
00:48Saath Janam Ka Saath It's a belief that souls destined to find
00:55each other, do so again and again, their love deepening with each lifetime.
01:04As we continue with the Vivasanskar, the wedding ceremony, we are about to witness the noblest
01:11of all acts in Indian culture, the Kanyadaan, commonly signifying the giving away of the
01:19bride by her parents.
01:23But as a daughter myself, as the mother of a daughter, and also a mother-in-law, I know
01:33that no parents can ever give away their daughters.
01:38Daughters are life's biggest blessings and greatest joys.
01:44They are manifestations of Goddess Lakshmi, bringing abundance and auspiciousness to
01:51our homes and lives from the time they are born.
01:56They are the purest part of our souls, intertwined with our very being.
02:03How does one part with the peace of their heart?
02:07The affection, joy, and memories a daughter or Kanya has shared with her family over the
02:15years cannot be handed over.
02:19They are theirs forever.
02:22A daughter is not a possession to be transferred.
02:26She is a blessing to be cherished and treasured.
02:31She is a source of happiness, love, and light that will now also share with her new family.
02:42India's spiritual and cultural traditions hold women in the highest esteem.
02:49Our scriptures teach us, where there are daughters, there is auspiciousness.
02:56Daughters have a higher God-given power.
03:19Dearest family and friends,
03:48As we witness the Kanyadaan, I wish to emphasize that Hinduism is Nityanutan.
03:56It is capable of constant self-renewal and self-reform with time.
04:03An Indian wedding rests on the foundation of perfect equality between Var and Kanya,
04:12between groom and bride, and also between their two families.
04:18Hence, the true cultural significance of Kanyadaan is that the bride's parents accept the groom
04:27as their son and entrust his family with their precious daughter.
04:35My dearest Shaila and Viren,
04:38Today, you are not giving away your daughter to us.
04:42Rather, you are gaining a son and a new family.
04:47Our dearest Anand now belongs as much to you as our dearest Radhika belongs to us.
04:57Mukesh and I promise you that Radhika will always be protected as our daughter,
05:04cherished as Anand's soulmate,
05:08loved as Isha, Anand, Shloka and Akash's sister,
05:12and adored as the most doting kaki and mami to Prithvi, Adhya, Krishna and Veda.
05:22My dearest Radhika,
05:24With open hearts and lots of love,
05:27we welcome you as the youngest bahu of our family,
05:31as Mrs. Radhika Anand Ambani.
05:43May our devis and devtas shower you and Anand with all the love, laughter and happiness in the world.
05:52May our path together be blessed always and forever.
05:57With that prayer in our hearts, dear family and friends,
06:02we now proceed with the Kanyadaan.
06:05Thank you.
