Wheel Spacers Installation Guide For Maserati GranTurismo - BONOSS Car Accessories

If this is your first time fitting Maserati wheel spacers on your GranTurismo, this video will help.
Maserati GranTurismo wheel spacers are devices that fit between the wheel hub and the wheel, creating a gap that pushes the wheel outward. This can reduce the wheel's offset, which is the distance between the wheel's centerline and the hub's mounting surface. A lower offset can increase your Maserati GranTurismo's track width, which is the distance between the centerlines of your left and right wheels. This can improve the stability, cornering, and appearance of your Maserati GranTurismo.

Installing wheel spacers on your Maserati GranTurismo is not a simple plug-and-play process. You need to make sure that you choose the right size and type of Maserati wheel spacers for your GranTurismo and install them properly and securely. Otherwise, you risk damaging your wheels, tires, suspension, brakes or even causing an accident.

In this video, we will show you step-by-step how to fit wheel spacers on your Maserati GranTurismo correctly and safely. Before we begin, make sure you have the following tools and materials.

A jack and jack stands
A wheel lug wrench and torque wrench
An impact wrench
A wire brush or sandpaper
A set of hub-centric wheel spacers that match your Maserati GranTurismo's bolt pattern, hub bore, and desired thickness.

00:00A great way to improve the performance and appearance of your car is by installing wheel spacers.
00:09However, it is important to choose the right type of spacers, and ensure that they are installed correctly, to avoid any negative effect.
00:18Let's take a look at the proper installation steps.
00:21Using a cross wrench to loosen the stock bolt in a diagonal sequence, but do not remove the damped camber lathe.
00:27Using a jet stand to support each end of the car is a better safety measure.
00:32To assist in removing the wheel hub, use a cross wrench to remove the stock bolt.
00:37Install the wheel hanger, remove the wheel of the hub, and set it to the side.
00:42You can use a brake cleaner to remove them.
00:45Remove any rust and dirt from the wheel hub with a rag.
00:48Widen the entire surface to ensure it is smooth, because all of that surface may cause the wheel spacer to not fit perfectly with the hub.
00:56Install the Bonner Sporge FT Cooling Wheel Spacers, then install the matching lug bolts.
01:02Tighten them with a torque wrench.
01:04A key advantage of Bonner's wheel spacers is the FT Cooling feature.
01:09These wheel spacers are designed with pattern-shaped grooves.
01:12The grooves allow the external cold air to flow continuously inside the spacer when it rotates.
01:18The air takes away the heat.
01:20After the dissipating heat for the braking system, install the ring and then install the stock bolt.
01:27Use a torque wrench to tighten them on the wheel.
01:30Make sure they are secure.
01:32Remove the jack stands, slowly lower the car until the tires fully touch the ground, and remove the jack.
01:38Use a torque wrench to tighten the lug bolts to the specific torque.
01:42Always tighten them in a diagonal sequence.
01:44This will ensure that the lug bolts work.
01:47The same operation is done for remaining wheels.
01:50After installing the wheel spacers, drive slowly back and forth, ensuring the rims are turned a few times.
01:57Bonner recommends checking the use of the wheel spacers every 6 months, and checking the vehicle operation to ensure safe driving.
02:08Once again, smile is grace.
