MPs who don't go for health check by Nov 11 will be named, says Speaker

MPs must undergo a mandatory health screening by Nov 11 at the latest, says Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul.  At the start of Wednesday's (July 17) meeting of the August House, emphasised that failure to comply will result in the MPs' names being published on the official Parliament website.   Johari reiterated that this health screening is compulsory for all MPs, with the final date set for Monday, November 11. 00:03On 30 November 2023,

00:06I have informed this noble council

00:09that as of 2nd of the 15th Parliament,

00:12the People's Council has achieved a history

00:14that is proud of the level of accountability

00:17of the Executive Board

00:19to the People's Council

00:21is at the highest level

00:24through the impact of the People's Council,

00:27the Executive Board, the House of Representatives,

00:29and the Executive Board of the People's Council.

00:32This is important in ensuring that

00:34the function of the People's Council

00:36to fund and balance the Executive Board

00:38can be implemented more effectively.

00:41The effort has been made

00:43to further increase this accountability level.

00:46Therefore, I have held a meeting

00:49with the Executive Board of the State Council

00:53and the Executive Board of the House of Representatives

00:56of the People's Council on Monday, June 24, 2024.

01:03Among the things discussed,

01:05including a proposal for the Executive Board of the State Council

01:08and the Executive Board of the House of Representatives

01:10to make a clarification

01:12on the statements of the Executive Board of the State Council

01:14and the Executive Board of the House of Representatives

01:16that were made in the People's Council.

01:18In the document, it has been proven

01:20that the Executive Board of the State Council

01:23needs to be given the opportunity to make a clarification

01:26on the statements of the Executive Board of the State Council

01:29that were made in the People's Council

01:31in order to provide a clarification

01:33and a broad report to the people

01:35on the function and role of the Executive Board of the State Council

01:38and the Executive Board of the House of Representatives

01:40in discussing current issues.

01:42For your information,

01:50through the Regulation No. 14-1-L

01:54which is read together with the Regulation No. 25

02:06The Chairperson of the Executive Board of the State Council and the Executive Board of the House of Representatives

02:08need to give notice

02:10under the Regulation No. 14-1-L

02:12to make a clarification

02:14on the statements of the Executive Board of the State Council.

02:17Although this clarification is not discussed,

02:20I will provide the opportunity

02:22to the other members of the People's Council

02:24to provide an overview

02:26or get a detailed explanation.

02:28Ladies and Gentlemen,

02:30a health check

02:34on the members of the Executive Board of the State Council

02:36with the cooperation of the Ministry of Health of Malaysia

02:41was carried out last year.

02:43I would like to congratulate

02:45all the members of the Executive Board of the State Council

02:47for carrying out this health check.

02:51I would also like to express my gratitude

02:53to the Ministry of Health of Malaysia

02:55for the attention and cooperation provided.

02:59The health check has been very helpful

03:02in assessing the health stage

03:04of Alim Brahmat

03:06in the early stages

03:08and further enabling immediate preventive measures.

03:10This year,

03:12the Ministry of Health

03:14has agreed to carry out

03:16a health check on all Alim Brahmat members.

03:18In connection with that,

03:20without exception,

03:22a letter stating that

03:24the health check has been issued

03:26to Alim Brahmat,

03:28the health check will be carried out

03:30by the Health Clinic of the Government of Malaysia

03:32or at a private facility.

03:34Further information

03:36about this health check

03:38is contained in the letter.

03:40Alim Brahmat,

03:42health check is a must

03:44and must be carried out

03:46by all Alim Brahmat members.

03:48The last day to carry out the health check

03:50is on Monday,

03:5211 November 2024.

03:56If Alim Brahmat

03:58does not carry out this health check,

04:00the name of Alim Brahmat
