The 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2024 (stylised as UEFA EURO 2024) or simply Euro 2024, was the 17th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international football championship organised by UEFA for the European men's national teams of its member associations. Germany hosted the tournament, which took place from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The tournament involved 24 teams, with Georgia making their European Championship debut.

It was the third time that European Championship matches were played on German territory, and the second time in reunified Germany, as West Germany hosted the tournament's 1988 edition, and four matches of the multi-national Euro 2020 were played in Munich. It was the first time the competition was held in what was formerly East Germany, with Leipzig as a host city, as well as the first major tournament since the 2006 FIFA World Cup that Germany served as a solo host nation.[1][2] The tournament returned to its usual four-year cycle after the 2020 edition was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Italy were the defending champions, having won the 2020 final against England on penalties,[3] but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.[4] Host nation Germany were eliminated by Spain in the quarter-finals; Spain went on to win the tournament for a record fourth time after defeating England 2–1 in the final.[5]

The host was chosen by the UEFA Executive Committee in a confidential ballot,[8][9] needing only a simple majority of votes to win. If the votes were equal, the final decision rested with UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin.[10][11] Out of the 20 members on the UEFA Executive Committee, Reinhard Grindel (Germany) and Servet Yardımcı (Turkey) could not vote because they were ineligible. Lars-Christer Olsson (Sweden) was also absent due to illness. In total, 17 members were able to vote.[12][13]

The host was selected on 27 September 2018 in Nyon, Switzerland.[2][12][14][15] Germany initially planned to fully host Euro 2020, although had not announced any fi

06:14You
06:18Well this attack got a bit of menace to it
06:23That's an easy interception because the pass wasn't really a very thoughtful one

09:11Wonderful finish
09:15You
09:22It's a super goal from a splendid team men against boys out there and the opposition goalkeeper can feel
09:30Exposed and let down by his defenders

12:46Signaled by the referee one nil the halftime score. This has been a high-class first half and

13:26Here in the Bernabeu we're underway in the second half
13:39Morata
13:45Hit it here
13:48Wonderful goal
13:59And that could just pull them away to make sure of the victory
14:02Oh, it's a great finish to take the keeper at the equation
14:06I mean the keeper had no chance their bottom corner, and here's the goal again
14:09Just widen the margin here to 2-0
14:14It's a real tussle between the two of them try and get the ball
14:25It could be a chance the keepers pull that one out of the bag

17:47Good progress with this attack
17:54Here's a chance for England
18:08I don't know where they've got the spirit from but it's simply sensational and the scoreline is so because it's level again
18:14Or be pleased with that finish you really will a clean strike
18:19Plenty of power not to mention accuracy to find that pop corner
18:22Brilliant entertainment the scores are level again. Very tight affair here
18:35One or two players are warming up for the home team, we'll see who comes on
18:39And that's good support as they build this attack. That's a useful ball in
18:44off the post
19:14Oh
19:21It goes across
19:35Decide able to dwell on the ball for very long here
19:38It

19:53This could be it
19:56It's a goal
20:07And here he was faced by the goalkeeper that was the challenge in you go
20:12Easy as you like it looks easy, doesn't it?
20:14But I can tell you it's not you have to be at the top of your game to try and to convert it
20:19Well defensively bit of a horror show. I think they thought the game was almost up
20:24They'll get a volley kick from the manager for that very good game 3-2
20:38That's a good challenge between the two of them there
21:24Midfield they've got it back by an interception
