00:00Do you think there's room for redemption with John Kreese?
00:05I think John Kreese has done enough wrong in the world where he's definitely going to go to hell.
00:12The question is, you know, how he spends his last remaining, you know, days on earth. And so
00:21the question is, well, what is redemption at the end of the day? It's interesting because,
00:25you know, when you create these shows, you know, fans like to see characters change and be redeemed.
00:30But at the same time, you love, you know, the characters to, you know, stay true to what you
00:37love about them. And, you know, John Kreese is a character that we as kids were afraid of.
00:44And I think if we totally changed him, you may not like him anymore. It's finding like that
00:51balance of staying true to the character that you like while having them learn and grow. And I feel
00:58like, you know, Kreese may learn and grow, but it also may be too late. So we'll see how things
01:04shape up in the final season. We think the line between good and bad continues to be blurry
01:10on the show. All of the villains over the course of the season believe that they're doing what's
01:14right. They believe that they're good and that, you know, the people standing in their way
01:20are the villains in their own lives. You know, and that goes with, you know, Kreese, that goes
01:25with Silver. These are all people who at their core believe that they are doing the right thing
01:31and that their philosophies are helpful to the next generation. You know, in season six, you know,
01:37we've re-upped Kreese as a villain on the show in the eyes of Johnny and Daniel. But that's all
01:44because, you know, the last time he saw them, he was locked up in a jail cell unjustly and was,
01:51you know, given an opportunity to maybe leave that jail cell with their help. And instead,
01:55they left him in there and said some harsh words and then they were on their way out. So,
02:00you know, he's more riled up than ever to take down Johnny and Daniel at the Sci-Fi Tournament.
