00:00We're standing here on Mount Cannobulus in Orange in the New South Wales Central Tablelands,
00:06and Mount Cannobulus is just under 1400 metres high, which has been perfect conditions for
00:11snow today. It's the school holidays in New South Wales, so there's been plenty of families
00:16that have come up here, all with kids with their little beanies on. There was even a
00:20bright pink toboggan at one stage. They've been throwing snowballs at each other, building
00:25mini snowmen. They're really making the most of it. There was one family that actually
00:29travelled from Dubbo here just to try and see any snow that they could at the moment.
00:34Now it's turned to a bit of slurry. It's about minus one degrees here, but the chill is about
00:39minus ten, so people are still coming up, visiting, having their fingers crossed, hoping
00:44we might still see some snow. Just west of the Blue Mountains there's Oberon, which also
00:49received quite a good dusting this morning. A local there was saying it's the first fall
00:53of the season, but they're a little bit over the novelty now. And just moving a bit further
00:57north in regional New South Wales, in the northern Tablelands, the town of Guyra, which
01:01sits at about 1300 metres high, woke up to having a light dusting this morning. The Guyra
01:07Bowling Club green turned white, where there were plenty of kids and families making snow
01:12angels, throwing snowballs at each other and having a great time. So for today, we're still
01:17expecting we might see some more snow flurries later on this afternoon and evening. We'll
01:21just have to keep seeing what the weather does.
