Danny Rouhier is impressed not by the numbers, but by the look of what Alex Sarr has done in his first few NBA Summer League games.

00:00I see what they see and Alex are, we've got a couple of games.
00:03The numbers for him aren't, aren't great and he hasn't shot it particularly well, et cetera.
00:08But I don't know about you guys.
00:09If you guys watched it and if you did hit me, hit me with a tweet at funny Danny, but
00:14I see what they see, I think in Alex are the way he moves around.
00:22Some of those flashes, those moments where he had those three blocks and 40 seconds,
00:25for example, clearly not comfortable just yet down around the basket, getting pushed
00:30around some by a couple of guys moved off the ball for, um, you know, our rebounding
00:36purposes kind of, you know, went flying like a, like a real undersized guy.
00:40And he's not, he'll, he'll grow into his body.
00:42He'll get a lot stronger.
00:43The physicality is going to be a legit adjustment coming from Euro stuff coming into the United
00:46States.
00:47You're still going to have in the NBA moments where men are going to try you.
00:51So you see now why they go get a balance, Eunice, why they go grab a guy like that
00:56to prevent him from having to deal with somebody like that.
00:58Does that make sense?
00:59If you make him play the five early on in his career, he's going to get pushed around.
01:03He's going to get beat up a little bit.
01:04Now it might be a matchup advantage where it's nice.
01:06You could, you can bring that big five away from the basket and create some space, but
01:10it's something they probably don't want to ask him to do just yet.
01:12He's a small ball five eventually, I think as he gets stronger, but I see what they see.
01:17He is athletic.
01:18He is smooth.
01:19There was one sequence in that first game where he posts up high, a little bit past
01:25the foul line extended, catches the ball with his back to the basket, dribble handoff into
01:30a screen, receives a little flare right back, shot fake, slides to the left, hits a step
01:35back three, and you go, that guy's 7'2".
01:39And it looked like a John Morant kind of move.
01:42It looked like a 6'2", uber athletic star kind of move.
01:46And again, he hasn't shot it great and settles a little bit too much for jumpers at this
01:50stage, but you can see it, man.
01:52You can see the oozing of potential from that kid.
