NCR blasts Central Luzon, redeems Palaro secondary boys basketball title

The National Capital Region gained the Palarong Pambansa secondary boys basketball glory, blasting Central Luzon in the championship game, 86-71, on July 15 at the University of San Carlos Gym. Tournament MVP Timothy Matias, son of former PBA player Ronnie Matias, led the NCR with 16 points including eight in the final frame. Representing NCR was NU Nazareth School while Central Luzon is represented by St. Agustin Institute of Pampanga Inc.
