00:00We invite you to the next Thursday for the vernissage of the exhibition, we called it Witkacy na wakacje,
00:07it is an exhibition of photography by Stanisław Iwianacek Witkiewicz-Witkacy,
00:12which was prepared by the Tetrzański Museum in cooperation with the Visual Arts Gallery in Oxhall in Krzyżowice.
00:20Curators from the Tetrzański Museum, Mrs. Danuta Janusz and Kamil Kłeczek from the Voxhall Gallery,
00:30chose from 250 negatives and positives, photographs of Witkacy from different periods.
00:40Since Witkacy had a very progressive father and had a very original home education,
00:50he started photographing from the age of 13.
00:53He was interested in photography as a medium of documentation.
00:57So at the exhibition you will see Tetrzański landscapes and views of Zakopane,
01:05locomotives entering the platform of Zakopane, because Witkacy's machines fascinated him.
01:13Family photographs, above all portraits and self-portraits with his father Stanisław Witkiewicz
01:23and portraits of his fiancée Jadwiga Czeska, a special figure for Witkiewicz,
01:33a woman who committed suicide and Witkacy survived it.
