00:00Yeah, really difficult. I think we sacrificed a lot throughout the last weeks. It's so tough
00:12these days with the crazy schedules and then coming together for the end of the season
00:16for one last tournament. It's difficult on the body. Mentally, physically you're exhausted
00:21but for our country we're wanting to give everything and then to lose in that way is
00:26really cruel. Again, we probably didn't play our best game but there were definitely some
00:31good moments and we felt like we got back into the game and then to be sucker punched
00:35with the late goal, it's heartbreaking. We all wanted nothing more than to make history
00:41and to make the people of England proud and we haven't managed to do it. We didn't quite
00:46deliver. There's reasons for that and I'm sure as a team and going forward we'll analyse
00:50it. I think it's a young group still. It's really disappointing because at some point
00:57we do have to deliver but there are experiences and there are things we can take from this
01:03tournament going forward. I suppose if you look at everything negatively, nothing will
01:06ever change so it's important we pick the positives and the negatives together and find
01:12a way to one day get England over the line.
01:15It was a really special goal and you had a key part to play in it. The momentum that
01:19that gave you for the next five, ten minutes, England were outstanding. Did you think you
01:23were going to go on and win it from that point, having come back again in the fourth consecutive
01:26knockout game and come from behind?
01:28Yes, I still felt we were in the game even when they scored to make it 2-1. The thing
01:33is about this team and we showed it throughout the tournament is we're never going to quit.
01:37We're not going to go out quitting and not wanting to take risks towards the end of the
01:42game. I think we had a couple of headers blocked off the line at the end there and yes, it's
01:49really tough but we've got to find a way to pick ourselves back up and go again.
01:54You had some incredibly special moments in the tournament yourself. That overhead kick
01:58in the 96th minute will live long in your memory and every England fan. To win on penalties
02:03with five perfect penalties, that late winner from Ollie Watkins, there were some really
02:07special moments in this tournament which England fans loved. Does that give you some sort of
02:12solace?
02:12Not really. I came here to win, we came here to win. Like I said, there's experiences that
02:18we can take going into the next one so I suppose you could say that's kind of some
02:22solace. It's really difficult to see those moments as important as they were had we won
02:30the trophy. It's really tough. It's one of those where you probably need a bit more time
02:35to digest it and analyse it. We'll do that as a team individually, look over how it went
02:42and bounce back. Like I said, it's a young team with a lot of potential and I know people
02:48will be frustrated that we haven't delivered yet but I definitely feel it's coming.
02:51It has to be about the manager. You know his contract is up in December. He's got a decision
02:57to make now. What would you say to the manager? Do you want him to stay?
03:00For me, it's down to the manager and what the FA decide. I've got nothing but respect
03:05for Gareth for giving me my debut in the squad. It made me feel very at home. He's someone
03:10who I think in the last year or two as well, our relationship has gone a little bit past
03:15football where I feel like I can open up to him a lot. I think that speaks volumes
03:20of the kind of man he is as well. Whatever happens with Gareth, I'll always respect him.
03:26If he stays then I'll be even more determined to win something for him because he deserves
03:30it. Sometimes the numbers and statistics and records don't lie. He's been our most successful
03:37manager since 1966. Whatever he decides, he'll always have my respect and my love.
03:44Thanks everyone, we've got to go.
