00:00Hi, I'm Chad Yebovich of the Meat Bodies.
00:16We're playing in Chicago.
00:19Welcome to the gear.
00:21Okay, so this is my 1968.
00:27I just found out, that's the year, Thunderbird, the strap keeps falling off.
00:35It's been modded, and yeah, I thought that this was originally with a neck replacement
00:43and a different headstock, but it's not.
00:46I guess this was stocked to 1968.
00:51It's just been stripped, previous owner, don't know what they did.
00:55I took out the pickups that it came with and I put some Burst Buckers in there.
01:02I thought they were Burst Bucker Alnico 2, but they turn out to be, I turned them over
01:09one day and they're Alnico 5.
01:13It's funny that that matters, but they're potted and they're Alnico 5.
01:17They're not un-potted.
01:18Then I had this put in by my guitar tech, Greg, and he made this floating, and yeah.
01:29It's now this kind of weird Les Paul, if you may.
01:35It's SG or something, you know?
01:37I'm mostly half and half.
01:40I'm mostly here for the leads and for a lot of heavy stuff.
01:47I don't know if you want me to get real heavy.
01:51A lot of the heavy stuff I flip here.
01:56Yeah, tuning is standard, standard E. I use, as you can tell by these colors, D'Ordario
02:0410s, you know?
02:07Real standard stuff.
02:09Real easy, standard guy.
02:13This is my 1971, I think?
02:20SG Deluxe, I believe it's a Deluxe.
02:25It's 71 or 72, I can't remember.
02:29But yeah, it comes with the embossed pickups that were, I guess, only around for that year.
02:391972, I think?
02:42I can't remember.
02:43The nerds are going to know, and they're going to tell me whatever year it is.
02:49Oh, this is in D. We have one song in D.
03:00Yeah, I've been using this guitar, man, from the very early stages of Meat Bodies.
03:08This is my first, one of my first guitars I ever got, and it needs a fret, a re-fret.
03:19The frets are really small.
03:22And I just had, again, my buddy Greg, he got this going up and down, it used to be a side
03:28to side.
03:31And he fixed this going with a new bridge, new weird roller bridge, because these things
03:38get out of tune really fast, but now it's ready to go.
03:43Okay, so my chain, this is the newest pedal board that I kind of constructed that used
03:48to be a lot bigger, but now my chain is kind of weird, it's kind of all over the place,
03:53it's not really like, whatever.
03:56So I have my Waza Crafts DM-2W, it's always on, it gives it this slap-back, warble kind
04:06of thing.
04:08Then it's going to the Smallstown, 70s Smallstown.
04:13Then it's, I believe, going into the Double Hotcake, and then it goes into the Distortion,
04:21Distortion goes to the Ice 9 Overdrive by Joe Satriani, I don't know why I like it.
04:33And then this, I believe, goes to, I think the Octave, the Octave Clang.
04:42And then that's all ending up back over here at the Echoplex, this is just my cheap version
04:51of the Echoplex.
04:53So it's going to the Preamp, and then this is the Long Delay with Age Filter on, to sound
05:01like an Echoplex.
05:04And then it's all, then it goes to the Jam, I forget the name of this thing, it's the
05:13Univibe, but it, you can kind of hear that.
05:20It sounds like a Univibe, but this is their custom, I don't know, I got it off Reverb.
05:26And then it's all ending up at the Blonde, and the Blonde is kind of just adding a little
05:32more color to make it sound like a Fender, an old Fender.
05:38That's my pedals right now.
05:40Oh, and I also do this.
05:43I also have my Music Man Vibrato Tremble Out that I throw on, yeah.
05:51The most used is going to be the Ross Distortion, this 80s Ross Distortion, this is kind of
05:57my go-to for a lot of recording and stuff with meat bodies.
06:05I don't know, I just kind of found it one day, it's failed so many times, I've had it
06:09modded and added a light and all this stuff, and it's, yeah, it's just like, it's my go-to.
06:17It's gone off the board and then it comes back and I get it fixed, but that's kind of
06:23most of my distortion sound, my big heavy stuff is that Ross.
06:28And then the Hotcake, I kind of don't use the other side, that's why it's tilted, I
06:34use this for like quiet leads, like to be quiet but just to have a little bit more
06:39preamp kind of sound.
06:42And the preamp I'm using almost all the time, all leads, if this is on, all leads, I'll
06:47just throw that on to get more sustain and a fatter sound.
06:56The Vox is now my new, like, thick, heavy, it's like, it's so stupid, it says vintage
07:06and modern, but apparently modern is germanium, and I don't know, it sounds good, I think,
07:15at least.
07:17Yeah, those are, this is kind of, this area is like the most used, the below deck, and
07:25then everything on here is like for flavor, but that delay is always on.
07:30Right, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, so this is what I've been doing lately, this is my Music
07:38Man HD-130, that's kind of been my tried and true, I keep, I've tried like different amps
07:45and then I always end up back at the HD-130.
07:51I got it teched once, and I toured with it for like almost 10 years, and when I got it
07:58teched the guy was like, oh man, like, have you ever changed these tubes, have you ever
08:02done anything?
08:03I was like, no, he was like, oh, this is all original, like it's never been changed, so
08:09I don't know why, but it just never breaks, it's just like a trusty guy.
08:15I'm not really, let's see, I mean I kind of change it every night, according to the room,
08:19you know, but right now it's like I have less, treble's at 4, middle's at 5, and bass
08:27is kind of at 6, yeah, and I put the deep on, because I, when I like to get that real
08:32thick distortion, I like to hear that low end probably useless, because the bass player
08:39is doing all the low end anyways, but it's like a psychological thing in my head, like
08:43that distortion should be big and thick, but yeah, I'm slightly overdriven on the volume
08:51right here, 7, it's kind of a little spicy, this head actually comes modded in the back,
09:03it has a line out right here, and I'm taking this line out and I'm feeding it into this
09:13other music man, this is my new addition, I just got this other music man for this tour,
09:20and so it's kind of like a, yeah, I'm just line outing into that, so it's like a second
09:29version of it, it's, yeah, it's like two speakers, you know, it's not, it just has a master volume.
09:35So this is going to this, and this is like a Jerry cab, yeah, I bought it from some deadhead
09:45on Reverb, he made it, I think, it comes with all these dead stickers all over it, and I
09:54loaded it with an EV12L, and a JBL, like a 80s JBL, JBL, what is it, people are going
10:11to want to know, E120, JBL E120, and yeah, this is for this, and then like I said, the
10:21line out goes to this, and I just bought this because it came with Slutvania tubes,
10:28and original Sir Winn Vegas are in there, and I thought that was really cool, so as
10:37you can see, you know, Sir Winn Vega, all my brother, rest in peace Dickie Betts.
10:45I don't really have preference on, it's just kind of whatever, like, this is my mic that
10:51I accidentally brought from home, I just stepped on it in the back of my amp, and I was like,
10:55oh cool, it's like an 80s Unidyne 3, I lost the cap a couple shows ago, as far as cables,
11:08this is my buddy Dave Ozinga made this, I guess it's new old stock wire from the 70s,
11:16and it's really dense, and it looks like a snake, and this is a guy, this is a guy,
11:24his name is, oh man, it says on here, Ray, this is his company, Ray, Ray Decker, and
11:33he showed up in Baltimore with a bunch of cables, and I don't know, I just still have
11:39this one, and those are the cables I have.
11:42Oh, let me tell you, I only play, I don't leave home without my StarPix, okay, Cleartone
11:55knows, I've bugged them at NAMM, Cleartone, sponsor me, StarPix, only thing I use, I want
12:04a picture of me on Premier Magazine like this, you know, just like real, like, you
12:11know, like you can see my eye through the, through the star, you know, like, I don't
12:17know, like Phil Umsamba or something, Phil, oh no, no, not like him, not like him at all,
12:23not like that dude, not like that, what's his name, from Slipknot, that guy with the
12:33mask, you know, but I'm holding, instead of a guitar, like an Ibanez, I'm just holding
12:37a StarPix.
12:38We have our Instagram, MeatBodiesOfficialAuthentic, is that what it is, Dylan, MeatBodiesOfficialAuthentic
