00:00American vessels may be transporting this, you know, these shipments from Cyprus in the
00:08future beyond the JLAS mission?
00:11That's exactly what we're working through right now.
00:14This is, again, a proof of concept to try and get aid in through Ashton and then move
00:17it down into Gaza.
00:19We're working that through with the Israeli government.
00:22When we have more, we'll certainly share whether that involves U.S. ships or commercial ships.
00:26I'll keep you updated.
00:27Yes, in the back.
00:29So, Ruša Mojanović, N1 TV, which is CNN affiliate in the Western Balkans.
00:35You just mentioned that Serbia is sending arms to Ukraine.
00:38Do you know what type of ammunition?
00:42I know.
00:43I didn't mention that.
00:44I was talking about NATO interoperability.
00:46So I don't have anything for you on that.
00:48I'd let Serbia speak to their assistance.
00:50There was an article in Financial Times that Serbia is sending arms to Ukraine, which Serbian
00:55government denies, and also saying that it's forbidden to transport arms through the third
01:03countries.
01:04But it's obvious that Serbia is producing calibers, which are very similar to Russians,
01:09which can be used in all the Ukrainian military equipment.
01:15So how do you assess that?
01:17Do you have any assessment on that?
01:20So appreciate the question, but that's really something that the Serbian government would
01:22have to speak to.
01:24As you are here in the briefing room, I am the spokesperson for the Department of Defense
01:29today up here answering your questions.
01:31I would just have to refer you to the Serbian government for more on that.
01:34Did I see one more?
01:35Yes.
01:36Thank you.
01:37U.S. Secretary Blinken announced on NATO Summit two days ago that the first F-16 are en route
01:42to Ukraine.
01:44Can you confirm that, and how many planes we are talking about?
01:48I mean, I certainly can.
01:49The Secretary of State confirmed that.
01:53I'm just not going to get into specific numbers.
01:55I would certainly let the Ukrainians speak to that, and when they are in country.
02:00That's always something that we've traditionally done with any presidential drawdown package.
02:07We announce some of the equipment, the systems, the capabilities that we are sending.
02:11But we do let the Ukrainians speak to when they are in country, as that is an operational
02:16security consideration that they have to take into account.
02:19And so I'd refer you to the Ukrainians to speak to that.
02:22Okay.
02:23All right.
02:24Thank you, everyone, and thank you for joining us for those that are coming from abroad.
