DBM, tiniyak na prayoridad nila ang pagpopondo sa sektor ng edukasyon sa 2025

00:00Following President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order,
00:04the DBM promised to get the largest percentage of the national budget,
00:09the education sector.
00:11Sujin Kim is in the center of the news.
00:15Department of Budget and Management Secretary Mina Pangandaman promised
00:19that next year, the DBM will continue to prioritize funding for the education sector.
00:26Following President Marcos Jr.'s order and the mandate of the Constitution,
00:31Secretary Mina promised to get the largest percentage of the national budget,
00:36the education sector.
00:38Secretary Pangandaman emphasized that this year,
00:41education, culture, and manpower will get the largest part of the budget,
00:46which is P983.5 billion.
00:49This includes P132.929 billion for state universities and colleges in the country.
00:56Meanwhile, the MMDA is pleased that the DBM launched the Green Green Green program.
01:01Its goal is to improve public open spaces
01:05and help LGUs to make the community more sustainable and internet-connected.
01:10We will not only improve the environment and infrastructure,
01:15but we will also reduce the negative effects of climate change,
01:21such as extreme heat, pollution, and flooding.
01:25This is part of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s
01:30Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028 Chapter 12,
01:34Expand and Upgrade Infrastructure.
01:37Aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Build Better More Program,
01:43this will greatly help our communities,
01:46especially in improving the health and quality of the lives of our countrymen.
01:53More than P1 billion will be used for construction,
01:57rehabilitation, and the construction of recreational parks and plazas,
02:01botanical gardens, bike lanes, walkways, and recreational trails.
02:06We are able to take a huge step towards fulfilling the President's goal
02:11of a Bagong Pilipinas,
02:13where every Filipino is committed to the improvement of life in the community.

02:22that MMDA will add P200 million to its budget.
