00:00it is broken. It might never come out again. The Houston
00:04Astros 49 and 44, 5 games above 500. The most they have been
00:09above 500 all season long. Houston has won 16 of its last
00:1420 games and in-state showdown a divisional rivalry as they get
00:18ready to host the Texas Rangers, the reigning World Series
00:21champs this weekend in H-Town. Minus 140 in the
00:25updated number on the Stroh's total at eight. What do you
00:28like for the start of this set between Texas and Houston?
00:31This is a big series. It certainly is. You're going to
00:34see a couple of those here heading into that what we call
00:37the unofficial halfway point at the all-star break. Some of
00:40these teams getting momentum, which is what you want. Some
00:42of these teams going to be losing steam, which is
00:44certainly not what you want. You take a look at Andrew
00:46Heaney on the mound going up against Hunter Brown. You
00:48used to say to yourself, not really household name, but
00:50you're going to see a couple of those here heading into
00:52that what we call the unofficial halfway point at
00:54the all-star break. Not really household names, but both of
00:56these guys have been in decent form over the past 60 days and
00:59also taking a look at that Houston offense going up
01:01against left-handed pitching. It hasn't fared all that well.
01:04Altuve's done well, Bregman's done well, and Dubon has done
01:07well. The rest of that lineup, not so much against left-handed
01:10pitching. And also keep in mind, Andrew Heaney maybe had a
01:12little bit of a rough start to the season. Past 30 days, 119
01:15batters he's faced, a 148 iso and a weighted-on-base
01:18percentage of 297. That sets up pretty well. Flip it over to
01:21Hunter Brown. How about this, Ben? Over the past 30 days, an
01:24060 iso and a weighted-on-base percentage of 264. Feels a
01:28little bit like playoff baseball, even though that's a
01:30true hitter's ballpark, I'm leaning more towards the under
01:33than a side in this one. Not just an in-state showdown, not
01:37just divisional foes. Of course, a rematch of last year's
01:40ALCS. These two teams have faced each other seven times
01:44this year. Houston's won four, Texas has won three. The Astros
01:48winners of 16 of their last 20. The Rangers looking a little
01:51bit better, a little bit more like the ilk of a World Series
01:54champ defending that crown. They've won seven of their last
01:5810, but still five games below 500. Houston only two games
02:02back of Seattle for the top spot in the American League West.
