00:00Hey guys, Paul Brewer family from the gaming course on session, this is an FG politics
00:17on CNN plus going debunk, defunk, shutting down, quitting, giving up, throwing in the
00:24towel after just 21 days.
00:26Now I have a lot of thoughts on this and I know I'm not really getting on top of this
00:32as quickly as possible.
00:34We've had so many different things to do that I couldn't really get to this topic as fast
00:38as I wanted to.
00:40Maybe someday we'll be able to do things next day, you know, have it ready and do it the
00:44next day after it happens.
00:46My first thought is I don't really know how large CNN audience is.
00:53I've heard it's kind of small.
00:55I know they lost the airports, you know, they were in the TVs in the airports, they lost
00:58all that.
01:00I know that they have been extremely controversial, highly divisive, very radical in their reporting.
01:08Not as bad as like MSNBC, but still the same.
01:11Like I said, they didn't seem to have much of an audience and I don't really know how
01:15many of their audience really wanted a digital download service.
01:18I mean, it's not like the Blaze Entertainment, you know, with Glenn Beck, his service that
01:23he started and it's still going.
01:26So I mean, they might, CNN might try to attack Glenn Beck, but you know, he succeeded where
01:31they failed.
01:33The other aspect of this that I don't know if you all are aware of or not, but CNN was
01:37part of the large buyouts and they were looking at areas to cut.
01:43Now whenever you have one company buy another company, you always have this, you know, synergy,
01:48which means two people doing the same job and they get rid of someone doing it.
01:51So that's how they save money with these different little mergers and buyouts and everything.
01:55Oh, these are big mergers, big buyouts.
02:00So I kind of expected stuff like this to happen.
02:02It's kind of like since CNN Plus went defunct, they also have had a variety of CNN on-air
02:11hosts who have also been shown the door and said goodbye.
02:16They've also had scandals related to things they shouldn't have been doing that they did
02:22and so on.
02:23So I'm not surprised.
02:28The other thing is, how many people, I don't think there's a lot of people, there might
02:32be some, but how many people want to get their news that way?
02:37I mean, do you want to go pay for a streaming service to get your news and then go watch
02:42some shows whenever you wanted to?
02:44I mean, I suppose there might be an interest somewhere.
02:47People pay WWE for, I guess now it's over on NBC, but they pay for it in the WWE network
02:54and they get all kinds of old matches that they want to go watch.
02:59So I suppose there could be some interest for some people for old news, but news to
03:04me seems like it's more of a quicker cycle.
03:09They went a little faster.
03:11But you know, I could be wrong.
03:13So go ahead and leave your comments below.
03:16That's all the thoughts I have on that and recess.
03:18Hope you have a wonderful rest of your day.
03:21Bye.
