Are scousers watching the Euros final?
Transcript
00:00All 24 nations that qualified for Euro 2020 started the tournament in the group stages with England in group C alongside
00:09Slovenia, Denmark and Serbia. With both Liverpool and Everton players making the lineup of the England squad
00:14we wanted to find out if people prefer their local or national team. The team I supported
00:20from a child was Everton actually. I've always liked Liverpool though, always have.
00:27Liverpool, because they're the greatest team on earth. Even with this new manager, I wish him well, Arnie Slott, but not England.
00:37I've watched all the England games actually, because I do like to watch England, but you don't normally play well as a team.
00:45You can have the best 11 players in the world on the pitch, but if you can't play as a team, there's not really much use.
00:55The finals of the championship are taking place on Sunday July 14th, and England fans are hoping the Three Lions will bring it home.
01:01But will you be watching?
01:03No. I don't know what I'll be doing. I'll just be sitting in my flat with my feet up, chilling.
01:08Home on my own, with my two dogs.
01:10Spain are the force in the whole competition from day one. So if you want to be the best, you've got to beat the rest.
01:22Touch wood, so far, fingers crossed.
01:24Anything but watching the Euros.
01:27I'd like to know if they've won though, that's a bit cheating, isn't it?
01:30If you're heading out and about, there's plenty of places to catch the Euros here in Liverpool.
01:35Boxpark have hosted screenings of all Euro 2024 matches throughout the tournament, which includes the final, though this is a ticketed event.
01:44The pub with spectacular loos, the philharmonic dining rooms have been screening all Euro 2024 fixtures.
01:50The Albert, a large pub on the bustling Lark Lane, has a large outdoor area, a range of cask ales, and will be screening the Euros final.
