On day two of this year's NATO Summit, member states and partners reaffirmed their commitments to defending Ukraine, promising F-16s and billions of euros in aid, while condemning China for supplying Russia's war effort.

00:16Once again, much of the summit's activity focused on the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
00:23The country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, spent the day meeting with world leaders and
00:28top U.S. lawmakers, seeking more aid and a fast path to NATO membership.
00:33And the alliance made clear that it was committed to that same goal.
00:37As Ukraine continues its vital reforms, we will continue to support them on their irreversible
00:44path to NATO membership.
00:47When the time is right, Ukraine can join without delay.
00:51It is not a question of if, but when.
00:57NATO members pledged a further 40 billion euros to Ukraine, and other additional concrete
01:03commitments of military aid.
01:04And I'm also pleased to announce that as we speak, the transfer of F-16 jets is underway,
01:12coming from Denmark, coming from the Netherlands, and those jets, those jets will be flying
01:19in the skies of Ukraine this summer.
01:23Concerns about Ukraine extended beyond Europe and the North Atlantic.
01:27NATO members condemned countries like North Korea and China for their role in supplying
01:32the Russian war effort.
01:34China provides dual-use equipment, microelectronics, a lot of other tools which are enabling Russia
01:44to build the missiles, to build the bombs, to build the aircraft, to build the weapons
01:49they are using to attack Ukraine.
01:56Security concerns are even bringing together countries like Japan and South Korea, which
02:00have had a rocky relationship in the past.
02:03As two of NATO's four Indo-Pacific partners, the country's leaders met on the sidelines
02:08of the summit, expressing concern about the cooperation between North Korea and Russia,
02:13and calling the security of the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific inseparable.
02:19With one day left in this historic summit, the leaders of the world's largest security
02:23alliance and their partners are using every opportunity to affirm their ties and the commitment
02:29to the safety of its current and future allies.
