A sunken boat is still sitting in the Detroit River (7/11/2024) after twenty people were saved over the holiday weekend. WWJ's Mike Campbell reports.

00:00It's a 54-foot boat in the Detroit River between Belle Isle and Detroit.

00:18That's MacArthur Bridge or Belle Isle Bridge.
00:20Story is, on July 7th, the skipper either put the boat there or it was ran aground.
00:27Some say he did it so that the 20 passengers on board could be rescued.
00:32Others say there were people flying off the boat when it hit it.
00:35Coast Guard says 20 people were rescued.
00:37The owner now working with salvage companies to remove the boat.
