A pair of US astronauts stranded on the International Space Station say they're confident that the problem-plagued Boeing Starliner they rode up on would soon bring them home, even as significant uncertainties remain.

00:00We've practiced a lot, so I have a feeling, I have a real good feeling in my heart that this spacecraft will bring us home, no problem.
00:07But like Butch said, we're learning now to optimize our specific situation and make sure that we...
00:22We've been through a lot of simulations for this spacecraft to, you know, go through all sorts of iterations of failures
00:29and I think where we are right now and what we know right now and how the spacecraft flew
00:34as it was coming in to do the docking as Butch described, I feel confident that if we had to,
00:41if there was a problem with the International Space Station, we can get in our spacecraft
00:45and we can undock, talk to our team and figure out the best way to come home.
01:00Lots of cheering here in the room, big hugs coming through in her blue flight suit.
01:07And followed shortly behind by Commander of Starliner Butch Wilmore, now back on the space station,
01:14the third visit for both astronauts.
01:16Starliner at one and a half meters away, currently about 25 seconds from docking.
01:23We have confirmation of contact and capture of NASA's Boeing Crew Flight Test and Starliner
01:29aboard the International Space Station. Butch and Sunny have made their arrival.
