00:00Surely the blue economy, perhaps in recent years, is much more focused than in previous years.
00:10Because the sea economy, one sees it only sometimes in the direct aspect,
00:17that is, everything that is explicitly related to the sea.
00:20So let's think about ships, maritime trade, let's think about fishing, fishing.
00:27The blue economy is much more, because obviously there is also the tourist activity,
00:32the swimming activity, the activity related to the promotion of accommodation on the beaches.
00:41So I mean, it's a whole world that revolves around the blue economy,
00:45which, among other things, is an area that looks a lot at sustainability
00:51and therefore looks a lot at the green transition.
00:54I believe that the numbers that are very positive on the blue economy,
00:58those that we have heard from the ratio in growth of added value compared to the national average,
01:05in occupational growth, in the stability of the number of companies,
01:09are precisely due to the fact that the vision of the blue economy has always been a vision
01:14that looks at the environment, at sustainability, both in terms of tourism,
01:18sustainable tourism after the pandemic is the most sought after, we all know that.
01:23And therefore also the quality of life and also the holiday in nature.
01:29The ports, today we look carefully at the electrification of the ports,
01:33to prevent that in urban centers, where often the ports are located,
01:40in some way they create sources of pollution.
01:44The fuel for the ships, we look to the future, we study the proportions with hydrogen.
01:50Therefore, the whole world of the blue economy has great attention to the reduction of plastics.
01:56The goal is always to gradually reduce the size of plastics from the seas.
02:02So I want to say that it is certainly an economy that looks above all at the south of the country.
02:07This is another positive side because a large part,
02:10a third of the economy of added value is concretized in southern Italy.
