00:00A Chinese national was arrested here in Davao City after he applied for a Philippine passport.

00:07A fish kill in a river in Negros Occidental is being investigated.

00:20The fishermen in the Negros Occidental River were ordered to kill fish in the Hilabangan River

00:27based on the water sampling of a cooperative that found high levels of chloride in the water.

00:33But Centro Kabankalan said that the correct process of water sampling was not followed

00:39because four days had already passed before the water sample was examined.

00:44There might be contamination in their sample.

00:47The allowable time for getting a sample is only six hours.

00:52There may be other reasons for the fish to die.

00:55Like the changing temperature, rain, and soil erosion.

01:00They told the residents not to get and eat fish from the river.

01:05The BIFAR Negros Occidental will also conduct a separate water sampling.

01:12A man is facing arson charges after he set fire to his mother's house in Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

02:04According to the NBI, the Filipino name, Hengson Javiles Limosnero,

02:08was registered by the man in his birth certificate issued by the local civil registrar in Santa Cruz, Davao, Del Sur.

02:16The NBI obtained his Chinese name, but he was not released while the investigation was ongoing.

02:22It was also not clear if he was a Bisaya or a Tagalog-speaking arrestee.

02:27Although the verification from the immigration is pending, we did an investigation and we found out that he is really a Chinese national.

02:36In fact, we obtained his name, his birth certificate, we know that this is falsified, this is not true information.

02:46It was also found out that he has been living in the city for 10 years and studying in a university.

02:51He also plans to travel to America.

02:55We do not think so that he has a relationship in Pogo because he is only based here in Davao.

02:59But with regards to these issuance of falsified documents, this is a coincidence.

03:03Because the other Chinese nationals who are arrested in Manila and Pampanga and other regions,

03:10mostly here in LCR Santa Cruz.

03:14They are easy. They did not apply for the scrutiny of the documents.

03:19Or there are people who are behind this syndicate.

03:22The arrested person is facing charges of breach of passport law, falsification of public documents, and perjury.
