00:00We went to the Daytona 500 in 2020 with Toyota and just after an amazing day and experience
00:07the whole weekend they asked us what more could we have done to make your experience
00:11better and about the only thing I didn't get to do was go on a pit box and as a huge
00:15NASCAR fan that for me that was something I would have loved to experience and being
00:20in a chair it was a little difficult and I just said that out of curiosity and Toyota
00:25went to work on it and lo and behold made an amazing thing.
00:31The team designed the mobility pit box in conjunction with NASCAR they can lift the
00:37electric wheelchairs up and allow them to get onto the box full audio and visual so
00:42we have track feeds up there for each of the three individuals but we also have things
00:48like air conditioning tubes.
00:52The access that it offers to fans is huge and so to be able to do that we've seen time
00:57and time again NASCAR is at it's best when it's working together across the industry
01:01and for Toyota to lead this really helps NASCAR in moving our inclusion efforts forward.
01:08Now to have the ability despite my situation to sit on pit road and be in a front row seat
01:13and then obviously to be able to have my wife enjoy and get just as good of experience is
01:18yeah something that I probably never would have imagined being able to do especially
01:21after my injuries.
01:23Seeing what they came up with was just incredible to go from that little snippet conversation
01:28to what they've created is amazing.
