Dak Prescott Takes Precautions Against Old Ankle Injury

00:00I think it's fair to assume it's precautionary at this point.
00:02We haven't heard anything about him needing any sort of extra
00:05surgery.
00:06He basically said that he worked out really hard a couple
00:09of days and that old ankle injury had when he snapped his
00:13leg back up four years ago against Giants that just kind
00:17of acted up on him a little bit, but it doesn't seem like
00:20a big deal.
00:20It sounds like he's just doing it to be precautionary just
00:24protect himself ahead of what's going to be an important
00:26season for him because he's due for a new contract and I
00:30think this is just his way of saying I've got to make sure
00:33I take care of myself this year.
00:34I got to make sure I'm not hurt at any point during the
00:37season or that could really affect my bottom line in my
00:40future. Obviously certain amount of it is out of his control.
00:43So I think this is him just going after what little control
00:47he can have over injuries and just being sure he's okay.
00:50Now if I'm the Cowboys though, I'm at least a little worried
00:53about this because that is the old injury.
00:56It was a bad one when he suffered that leg injury.
00:58I'd be putting an air cast.
01:00So I'm keeping a very very close eye on him because I don't
01:04want to end up in a situation where he goes down because without
01:08Jack Prescott this year the Cowboys.
01:10I mean, they've lost some talent on the offensive line.
01:12They lost Tony Pollard asking Cooper Rush to carry that offense
01:16to victory.
01:18I don't love that idea.
01:19So if I'm the Cowboys, I'm trying to protect Jack as much
01:22as possible.
01:23Yeah, you know, it's funny that you mentioned that and I was
01:25thinking the same thing and then I took a step back and I
01:29thought about it Jacob and my answer is probably this without
01:33Jack Prescott the Cowboys are going to have a really hard
01:36time, but Jacob every team is going to have a really hard
01:39time without their starting quarterback.
