Lisburn banker Gavin McShane and owner of the 'Little Popcorn Shop' talks about swapping notes for kernels having created a successful family-run business during the traumatic Covid lockdown
Transcript
00:00So my name's Gavin McShane. I started a little popcorn shop just over three years ago.
00:07The feedback from my friends and my family was incredible.
00:11So for once I took a bit of a risk and I invested in some kit from the States.
00:17I decided one day to attend a farmer's market in Dungannon.
00:24And I brought 100 bags down to Dungannon with me of four flavours.
00:29And I sold out in a matter of hours.
00:32And I couldn't believe how popular it was.
00:34But I always had that as a good question.
00:36Gavin, is this what you want to do?
00:38Because I come from a corporate business environment.
00:40To go from that to selling popcorn at authors and markets, it's a bit of a range.
00:46My colleagues think it's fabulous.
00:48I think the community over here are so passionate and so invested in their products.
00:54And if you have somebody who's so passionate and invested in their products,
00:58I can guarantee you it tastes absolutely incredible.
