Achieve A Wider Stance On Your Land Rover Defender With Wheel Spacers? - BONOSS Land Rover Parts

If this is your first time putting wheel spacers on your 2023 Land Rover Defender 130, this video will help. Land Rover wheel spacers are devices that fit between the wheel hub and the wheel, creating a gap that pushes the wheel outward. This can reduce the offset of the wheel, which is the distance between the centerline of the wheel and the mounting surface of the hub. A lower offset can increase your vehicle's track width, which is the distance between the centerlines of your left and right wheels. This can improve the stability, cornering, and appearance of your Land Rover Defender.

Installing wheel spacers on your Land Rover Defender isn't a simple plug-and-play process. You need to make sure that you choose the right size and type of wheel spacers for your car, and that you install them properly and securely. Otherwise, you risk damaging your wheels, tires, suspension, brakes or even causing an accident.

In this video, we will show you step by step how to put wheel spacers on your New Land Rover Defender correctly and safely. Before we start, make sure you have the following tools and materials: A jack and jack stands, a wheel lug wrench and torque wrench, an impact wrench, a wire brush or sandpaper, and a set of hub-centric wheel spacers that match your Land Rover Defender's bolt pattern, hub bore, and desired thickness.

If you like extreme driving and drifting, we recommend 7075-t6 wheel spacers. If it is just for daily driving, then 6061-t6 spacers are enough.

00:00A great way to improve the performance and appearance of your Defender is by installing Land Rover wheel spacers.
00:10However, it is important to choose the right type of spacers and ensure that they are installed correctly to avoid any negative effect.
00:19Let's take a look at the correct installation steps.
00:22Use a cross wrench to remove the lug nuts on the side of the wheel in a diagonal sequence,
00:28but do not remove them completely.
00:30Using jacks to support each end of the car is a better safety measure.
00:35Use a cross wrench to remove the wheel's side lug nuts.
00:39Remove the wheel of the hub and set it to the side.
00:43You can use a brake cleaner to remove them.
00:45Remove any rust and dirt from the wheel hub with a rug.
00:49Widen the entire surface to ensure it is smooth,
00:52because all of that surface may cause the wheel spacer to not fit perfectly with the hub.
00:57Install the Bonus Forge FT Cooling Land Rover wheel spacers, then install the matching lug nut.
01:04Tighten them with a torque wrench.
01:07A key advantage of Bonus Land Rover Defender wheel spacers is the FT Cooling feature.
01:13These wheel spacers are designed with petal-shaped grooves.
01:16The grooves allow the external cold air to flow continuously inside the spacer when it rotates.
01:22The air takes away the heat, actively dissipating heat for the braking system.
01:28Install the rim and then install the stock nuts.
01:34Use a torque wrench to tighten them on the wheel.
01:37Make sure they are secure.
01:39Slowly lower the car until the tires fully touch the ground, and remove the jack.
01:44Use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts to the specific torque.
01:48Always tighten them in a diagonal sequence.
01:51This will ensure that the lug nuts work.
01:53The same operation is done for the remaining wheels.
01:57After installing the wheel spacers, drive slowly back and forth, ensuring the rims are turned a few times.
02:04Bonus recommends checking the use of the wheel spacers every 6 months,
02:09and checking the vehicle operation to ensure safe driving.
