00:00Yeah, the way we... Yeah, yeah.
00:02And so, in the end, you decided you were going to follow that.
00:06That was the idea that you'd come up with?
00:07Yeah, we kind of went for a blend of...
00:09Yeah, about maybe two hours after we reached the top,
00:12the rain started chucking it down and...
00:16..it revealed a river along the rocks,
00:18so we decided to, you know, follow it downstream.
00:20And that's a tip that you got from Bear Grylls, right? Yeah.
00:23Where would you learn... Where would you have heard that?
00:26Did you remember? Just growing up, watching Bear Grylls with our dads,
00:29and he was a scout leader, so we'd done, like, camps and stuff before.
00:32It was one of the things where just always follow a river downstream
00:36if you're lost, cos that's where, like,
00:38civilisation will be, people will be there.
00:40And as we did go down, the further down,
00:42we did end up hearing chainsaws in the distance.
00:45They couldn't hear our, like, shouts for help,
00:49but just hearing humans, it gave us hope. Yeah.
00:53We actually have a message from Bear Grylls for you guys now.
00:57Take a look at this.
00:59I'm so happy, so proud that you made it out in one piece.
01:02Good for you. What an experience you've been through.
01:06But key lessons for people to learn,
01:08that if you ever find yourself just going out for a hike and get lost,
01:12it's always to remember, first of all,
01:14tell somebody where you're going and when you're due back.
01:17And secondly, always take a hard copy of a map,
01:21even if it's just take a screenshot and then print it out quickly,
01:24just so you've got something that's not electronic.
01:26But above all, I think the reason you guys made it out
01:30is you have each other, and that is so valuable.
01:33I've learnt in terms of survival,
01:35one plus one in survival is different to normal maths.
01:37It doesn't equal two, it equals about five or six.
01:40I'm so proud of you guys. Well done.
