00:00Let's start with the American League. When you look at the
00:06All-Stars, what stands out to you the most? Yeah, I think you
00:10said it best, Ben. I think that this is the future of what the
00:13All-Star game is going to be. You know, I personally don't
00:16find an issue with it. You're just simply going to have a
00:19game that doesn't mean anything. You're going to have
00:22a lot of players who have never played in the game. A lot of
00:24players sitting out injuries are at an all-time high as far
00:27as pitchers are concerned. I would not be surprised at all.
00:31That number is 33 right now, Ben. I mean, it may be 40
00:34honestly by the time the weekend comes because just
00:36simply put, you're going to have guys dropping out. Look,
00:39it's a exhibition game. It doesn't matter anymore. I want
00:43to see, especially from a pitching perspective in the
00:46American League, I think a really cool story. By the way,
00:49at some point in this game will be Mason Miller. He's going to
00:52make his first appearance. I know it's Oakland, so they
00:54don't get a lot of love there, but Mason Miller pumping 100,
00:58I think for the American League is going to be really cool,
01:00and so, you know, I think in the end, you don't know what
01:04the hitters are going to be, but you do know who's going to
01:06pitch. I'm sure we'll talk about that in the National
01:08League, but for me, that's kind of the story. Look, if all
01:11we're talking about is guys pumping 100 constantly, I think
01:14that's kind of what we want to see are those great matchups
01:17between the pitchers and the batters. I think it's really
01:20fun too, and we talked about it earlier, Craig. I still like
01:22the all-star game in Major League Baseball better than the
01:24other ones because it's the closest you're going to get to
01:26the regular sport during the regular season, but if you do
01:29look at the American League pitchers, I mean, it used to be
01:32like star, star, star, star, star, household name, and you
01:34can take a look at Anderson, Burns, Class A, Crochet,
01:37Gilbert, Holmes, Hauk, Lugo, Miller, Reagans, school ball,
01:40and Yates. I love to see the fresh faces in the all-star
01:43game. I think it's going to be great. Yeah, again, I think
01:46this is what the future is going to be. People are so
01:48shocked that so many first-name guys are in it. I mean, it's a
01:51young person's league at this point, and any veteran who's
01:54been to the game once, twice, three times, Donnie, it's just,
01:58you know, it's nice to be named an all-star, but it's nicer to
02:00have that time off when you're pushing for the postseason, so
02:03I totally get it, and you know, you mentioned a couple of names.
02:06I mean, Scooble and Corbin Burns, obviously there, those
02:09are great pitchers, but we like the matchups, right, and what
02:12would a matchup look, and I mentioned Miller earlier for
02:14Oakland, you know, what would a matchup in the fifth inning
02:18look like with Miller against Otani, you know, like that,
02:20those are the kind of stories I think that we like to talk
02:23ourselves into, and so I do understand the direction that
02:28the all-star game has gone. I personally have had a lot more
02:31fun at the Home Run Derby, but needless to say, it's still a
02:34very good display of the best talent in the game.
