00:26It's...
00:27Joker, Joker, Joker!
00:30And now, here's the host of the show, Jack Barry!
00:34Thank you.
00:40Thank you.
00:41Thank you very much and welcome to Joker, Joker, Joker.
00:45The different version of the Joker's Wild,
00:48where youngsters get a chance to play for money
00:50for their educational future and for an attempt
00:53to bring their parents on stage and play our bonus game.
00:56As those of you who were watching our last program know,
00:58we were right in the middle of a very exciting game
00:59when our time ran out,
01:00so we're going to finish that game right now
01:02as Jay Stewart reintroduces the champion
01:04and the challenger.
01:05Thank you, Jack.
01:06Here's our current champion.
01:07He hopes to be a game show host.
01:08He's nine years old and his name is Derek Lawton.
01:13And his opponent, his interests are baseball,
01:16dancing, and singing, and he's eight years old.
01:18His name is Corey Jacknut.
01:23Derek and Corey, nice to have you back with us
01:25on the program.
01:26On the last program, we ended up,
01:27I believe the score was 250 to 200,
01:30and I think you were leading, Corey, were you not?
01:32Yes, you were.
01:33In a moment, we'll pick this game up
01:34and we'll finish it out.
01:35But on the last program, incidentally,
01:37Derek, you won.
01:38You won yourself $500 for a bond for your future.
01:41As you know, in this game, we play for points.
01:43500 points wins the game and that's what you got.
01:45How do you feel?
01:46Excited.
01:47Very excited.
01:48On the last program we met,
01:50you told us that you wanted to be a game show host.
01:52What did you learn by being on the program?
01:54Did it help you?
01:55Well then, I learned that it's hard in a way.
02:00Yeah, it is hard.
02:01You think it was harder than you imagined?
02:03You want to know how?
02:04I beg your pardon?
02:05You want to know how?
02:06Yes, I'd love to know how.
02:07Okay, well then,
02:08say we're playing the grown-ups,
02:11and a joker comes up,
02:14you might have to memorize it,
02:16but sometimes you just call it out when it comes,
02:19and you also have to know the categories,
02:22like when it comes up, you have to read it,
02:25then it's kind of hard to see who's spinning,
02:29or sometimes like if it's your first time,
02:32it's kind of hard to see who's going to spin
02:35if it's your first time.
02:39Right?
02:40So it can be frustrating.
02:48You make my whole job sound revolting,
02:50as a matter of fact.
02:51It isn't.
02:52I think it's fun.
02:53No, it is fun.
02:54I'm glad you agree.
02:55And Cory was telling us in the last program
02:57that he wants to be a surgeon.
02:59And have you ever witnessed,
03:00have you seen any operations being done, Cory?
03:03What operation did you see?
03:05On me.
03:06Oh.
03:07What were they operating on you for?
03:09Stitches and tonsils out.
03:11Stitches and what?
03:12Tonsils out.
03:13You had your tonsils out?
03:14Yeah, was that fun?
03:15Did you get a lot of ice cream afterwards?
03:17It's really a pain in the throat, huh?
03:18You're telling me.
03:19Yeah, I'm telling you.
03:21And sadly, both your parents are out there in the audience.
03:23I see Derek's parents in the front row.
03:25Where are your parents, Cory?
03:27Way up at the top.
03:28In the third row.
03:29Third row up there.
03:30Okay, let me refresh your recollection
03:31about the categories we were using on the program
03:32when we were interrupted.
03:33Here they are.
03:34Categories we were using, and will again,
03:35are scrambled words.
03:36You'll see words all mixed up,
03:37and you'll have to identify it.
03:38Fairy tales, followed by Mother Nature.
03:41Then we have superheroes, and finally, nicknames.
03:44When our timer ran on the last program
03:46with a score of 250 to 200,
03:48it was your turn to go, Cory.
03:49Remember, you're trying to get the 500 points.
03:51Give them a spin, and your first answer counts.
03:56You have Joker, Joker, Joker!
03:59Yeah!
04:00Wow!
04:08Cory, that's what I call retribution.
04:11You know what retribution means?
04:13You don't?
04:14No.
04:15I wish somebody would tell me.
04:16That's exactly what happened.
04:18That's how Derek won the program.
04:20He got three Jokers.
04:21Now, this is retribution,
04:22because now it's happened to him.
04:24At any rate, as you know,
04:25all you have to do now is answer one question
04:27on any of the categories.
04:28If you answer it correctly, you go to 500 points,
04:30you win the game, and a bond.
04:32Which category do you want to play?
04:34Superheroes.
04:35Superheroes.
04:36Here it is.
04:37For all the marbles, answer this question,
04:39and you'll win a bond for $500,
04:41and your parents will get a chance
04:42to come up here and play our bonus game.
04:44Miss it, and the game goes on as before.
04:47Here is the question.
04:48This superhero is the leader of Atlantis
04:51and has power over all the fish in the sea.
04:55For 500 points and a $500 bond,
04:58name this superhero.
05:05Can't do it.
05:06How do you feel, Derek?
05:08Excited.
05:10Oh, I thought you were going to say relieved.
05:12The answer is Aquaman.
05:14Oh, I knew it.
05:16I knew it.
05:17And so you missed an opportunity to...
05:18Aquaman?
05:19I thought it was Aquaman.
05:20It is Aquaman, but you know...
05:22Okay, so I don't win the game either.
05:25Hey, audience, you didn't sound it correctly.
05:27It is, I got Aquaman.
05:28Now he knows it before he did.
05:29What did you say, Derek?
05:30You didn't sound it correctly.
05:33I mean correctly.
05:35It's Aquaman, not Aquaman.
05:37Right.
05:38I didn't say it correctly.
05:39Yes, yes.
05:40Thank you.
05:41At any rate, you stay at 250 points.
05:43I'm going to leave this show.
05:45It's your spin, however, Derek.
05:47You're in the game.
05:50Joker, Joker, Joker.
05:58You know, that's what I call retribution.
06:01You know what that means?
06:02Yes.
06:03Derek, what?
06:04It...
06:05I forgot.
06:07That means that he got it, now you got it.
06:09You got it once before,
06:10and I'm not going to go through all this.
06:11All you have to do is answer one question on any category.
06:13Superhero.
06:14Superhero.
06:15You want the same category.
06:16Okay, answer this,
06:17and you win your second game
06:18and another $500 bond for your education.
06:21This superlady was born an Amazon princess.
06:24She wears a star-spangled...
06:27A star...
06:28What are you smiling...
06:29Huh?
06:30How come you're smiling already?
06:31I didn't even finish the question.
06:32Well, do you have to...
06:33Don't...
06:34I beg your pardon?
06:35Could you repeat the question?
06:38I didn't even do it once yet.
06:40No.
06:41But I'll go back, I'll go back.
06:42Please.
06:43This superlady was born an Amazon princess.
06:45It was at that point you started to smile.
06:47She wears a star-spangled bathing suit
06:49and is played by Linda Carter
06:51on the popular television series.
06:53For a $500 bond added to the one you had
06:55would make $1,000 in bonds for your education.
06:58Name her.
06:59Wonder Woman.
07:00You win the game.
07:09Congratulations, Derek.
07:11You're now winning $1,000 in bonds.
07:13Once on this program, once on the previous program.
07:15And you guys can stop now.
07:20And your parents will get a chance to come up.
07:22Last time, the devil beat you.
07:23Maybe this time, you can beat the devil.
07:25As for you, Corey, you played exceedingly well.
07:27Only beaten, of course, by those three jokers.
07:29And you'll get a nice $100 bond
07:31to help you and to start your education as well.
07:33Let's have a nice hand for Corey Jackman.
07:35Thank you.
07:36Thank you.
07:42Thank you.
07:44Just a moment.
07:45Derek Lawton's gonna get a chance to face the devil
07:47along with his mother.
07:49That's the purpose of winning this game,
07:50so you can bring your parents up on stage
07:53and play the bonus game.
07:54I should like to add a footnote, too.
07:55Of course, this program is called Joker, Joker, Joker.
07:58And because it is, there are more jokers on this program
08:01than there are on the Joker's Wild,
08:03which should make it much more exciting.
08:05Exciting indeed for Derek Lawton.
08:07Come on over here and play against the devil.
08:10Hi, Derek.
08:11Hello.
08:12How do you feel now? Pretty excited?
08:14Uh-huh. I feel so excited, I could faint.
08:17You could faint? Well, don't faint
08:18because we got a lot of work to do here.
08:20Let's get your mother up here.
08:21Mrs. Lawton, come on up, out of the audience.

08:34with a whole new set of prizes.

10:07and your mother will be praying for you.
10:09First spin gets you $150, $75, and $50.

10:30Remember, last program you were on,
10:32the devil came up and beat you.
10:33Now, I don't want to overly tempt you,
10:35but I do want to point out that
10:36if the devil comes up, you lose it.
10:38If you get to $1,000, you get all those gifts.
10:39Mrs. Lawton, I want you to make the decision.

11:01You got it.
11:02You win.
11:09Congratulations to you.
11:11Isn't that good?
11:12Great.
11:13You feel good?
11:14How do you feel?
11:15Can I touch the money and see if it's real?
11:17Sure you can touch it.
11:18You touch it and we'll give it to your mother.

11:34$1,150 plus the sailboat, the movie projector,

11:41Let me tell you something, Mrs. Lawton and progeny.
11:44Okay.
11:45You have just won in cash and prizes $4,400.
11:54And more to come if you can win another game.
11:56And we're going to play that game in just a moment.
11:58Mrs. Lawton, let's have a nice hand for Mrs. Lawton
12:00as she goes back to the audience.
12:02She'll be on back and play again.
12:04There we go.
12:05Because we've got a lady player coming up against them this time.
12:09Jay Stewart, would you tell us who this charming young lady is?
12:12Right you are, Jack.
12:13She's nine years old.
12:14Her hopes are to be a dancer, singer, lawyer, doctor, or dentist.
12:18Her name is Tanya McKnight.
12:24Hi, Tanya.
12:26Hi, Jack.
12:27Nice to have you.
12:28Your face may be recognizable to some of our audience
12:30because you were one of the children who was on the children's tournament
12:33on the Joker's Wild.
12:34And we decided that all the children that were on the children's tournament
12:37should get a chance here to play on Joker, Joker, Joker.
12:39And so we're happy to have you back.
12:41Glad you're here.
12:42I am too.
12:43Oh, that's nice.
12:44Do you really want to be all those things?
12:46A lawyer, a doctor, a singer, a dancer, a dentist, all those things?
12:49Yes.
12:50Well, I also want to be a model.
12:52I beg your pardon?
12:53I also want to be a model.
12:54A model.
12:55Why do you want to be all these things?
12:56Because I have a lot of bills to play.
12:59I think when you were on the other program,
13:01you told us that you were interested in older men.
13:04Are you still interested in older men?
13:06Yes.
13:07How old?
13:08Ten or eleven.
13:10Oh, yeah.
13:11Those are pretty old, those guys.
13:12Ten or eleven years old.
13:13Mm-hmm.
13:14For goodness sakes.
13:15Tell me something.
13:16What does a ten or eleven-year-old man that have, let's say,
13:19a nine- or a ten-year-old fellow doesn't have?
13:21Well, they're more mature and more experienced.
13:25Yes, I guess one might say that.
13:28If you had to sum up your feelings in just one word
13:31about your feelings about older men,
13:33what would that one word be?
13:35Well, I can't use one word.
13:37I have to say at least three or four words.
13:39That would be either drive me crazy or drive me wild.
13:42Those words are well said.
13:44And I have some words.
13:45Your parents are out here in the audience?
13:46Where are they?
13:47Right there in the second row?
13:48Yes, there's my mommy.
13:49Yes.
13:50And there's my brother.
13:51And there's my grandma.
13:52They're all here rooting for you.
13:54And Derek's people are rooting for him.
13:56And here are the categories which will be used in the game.
13:59They are as follows.
14:00Disney characters, all about Walt Disney,
14:02followed by Let's Make Music,
14:05Good Guys,
14:06then we have Fill in the Blank,
14:08and finally Big and Little.
14:10Challenger goes first.
14:11So, Tonya, that's you.
14:12Good luck.
14:13Give him a spin.
14:14Thank you, Jack.
14:17Yeah.
14:18Disney characters, Joker and a triple.
14:24Okay, Jack.
14:25I'll take Disney characters for 200.
14:27I'm going to show you something about Disney.
14:28Take a look at this picture behind me.
14:30This Disney film told the story of a beautiful young girl
14:33and her prince charming.
14:34For your first 200 points, name the movie.
14:37Cinderella?
14:38Right.
14:39You have 200 points.
14:41Derek Lutton in your third game.
14:43Give him a spin.
14:44Can I go?
14:45Yes, you may.
14:48Big and Little, Joker and a triple.
14:55I'll take both of my Jokers
14:58and go off the board for Disney characters for 200.
15:02No, you can only go off for 100.
15:03I mean, 100.
15:04For 100.
15:05Very good.
15:06All right, you take a look behind me, too, if you will.
15:07This famous Disney film was supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
15:11Name it.
15:12The Chimney Sweep?
15:15No, not right.
15:16You have 100 points more if you can tell me.
15:17Mary Poppins?
15:18Mary Poppins.
15:19Right.
15:20You're actually on a point.
15:21Remember, 500 points means the game,
15:23and it's your spin, Tonya McKnight.
15:25Thank you.
15:28Let's make use of Disney characters and Big and Little.
15:31Jack, I'll take Disney characters for 50.
15:34All right.
15:35Take a look behind me again, if you will.
15:3750 is all you're required to play for.
15:39Give me the crazy name of this Disney character
15:41who's a friend of Mickey Mouse.
15:43Goofy?
15:44Yeah, right.
15:45You have 350.
15:47Your spin, Derek Lock.
15:50Let's make use of Killin' the Blank and Big and Little.
15:54I'll take Big and Little for 50.
15:57In a nursery rhyme,
15:58this little girl fell asleep and lost her sheep.
16:00Name the girl.
16:05Can't do it.
16:06Pick up 50 points if you can tell me, Tonya.
16:08Little Bo Peep?
16:09Yes, that's right.
16:10You have 400.
16:11Big lead, 400 to nothing.
16:13You win after this.
16:18Okay.
16:19Well, we have a very lopsided score here at the moment.
16:21Tonya McKnight has 400 points,
16:23and our two-time winner, Derek Lawton,
16:25has nothing but twice, Derek, you've come from behind.
16:28Twice, you got three jokers, so all's not lost.
16:31You haven't given up, have you?
16:32No.
16:33I bet you haven't.
16:34All right.
