It is the time of the rose blossom, when we meet Audrey and her husband Thierry. Everything is done by hand, because there are no machines for harvesting the delicate rose blossoms. And so Audrey and Thierry Bortolini spend hour after hour in their small fields harvesting the raw material for... everything that smells good and tastes good.

01:16In front of her small witch's kitchen Audrey takes the pistil from each blossom which is
01:40the inner part hindering the ongoing process. The petals will be cooked and the essence
01:46of the fragrance is carrier and its taste is separated from the water and being distilled
01:51in the appliance you can see in the background. That creates a master batch which is being
01:57added to various products. Audrey produces sweets for the kids, rose water for the adults
02:03and jam for the whole family. The essence made from rose blossom creates a distinct
02:09fine taste. Audrey tells us that the products and their production process has got a long
02:17family tradition both in her own family as well as the other one from her husband. And
02:23their daughter will possibly continue to carry on when it's the time for her.
