00:00Thank you to the staff that have been here tonight, the people counting, my returning
00:12officer, Heather, and all the police present. I know it's been a long night, which is now
00:18in the morning, so I appreciate your work throughout this process. I want to thank my
00:24agent, who is coincidentally also my mum, for your work as an agent, but also mainly
00:31as a mother throughout this. I want to thank my campaign team, Catching Labour Party, we
00:39never stopped working for this. We knocked the doors, we put the work in, and we came
00:46together as a team. I particularly want to thank the Salford family for their hard work.
00:54Andy Salford, in particular, for getting me through some of the tough days and the
01:04good days, being a mentor, a friend, a political advisor, and everything in between. Thank
01:10you, Andy. I want to thank Philip Loughran. Philip ran a really strong campaign, and he's
01:22worked for Kettering for the last 19 years. I want to thank all the other parties who
01:28I know put their all into this. And to the voters, thank you for putting your trust in
01:36me. I know what that means when you put that X in the box. And I promise you, whether you
01:44have voted for me or not, I will work tirelessly to deliver the change that we need in Kettering.
01:52Throughout this campaign, I met many voters on the door who voted yesterday for Labour
01:58for the first time in their life. I don't take that lightly. We ran this campaign as
02:05a change to Labour Party, and now I will do everything I can to deliver the change that
02:12we need, and that you voted for, for your family and our home. During this campaign,
02:19we had many conversations on the doorstep, and people shared with me the reasons why
02:24they need change, and the issues that they've faced over the last 14 years. And that is
02:31what drove me to fight for every vote. For my generation, we don't remember the last
02:38Labour government. So today, as we see change in Kettering, we also see change across the
02:45UK and the chance to build a better future. There is no magic wand, but the Labour Party
02:54is focused on what it will take to get our future back. And never again will we go back
03:01to the chaotic politics that we've seen in the past 14 years. Politicians and politics
03:09should serve the public. It is the absolute honour of my life to serve Kettering in Parliament.
03:17My home, the area I was born and raised. So I want to roll up my sleeve, get to Westminster
03:25and deliver the change that Kettering so needs. Thank you.
