Zoe Coles, 36, from Stamford has got her English accent back after having a Welsh accent despte never visiting the country for a year
Transcript
00:00I've had my English accent back for three days, and I am so confused.
00:06It hasn't come back slurred or stuttered.
00:09It's come back quite normal.
00:11The only thing I'm having to do is really concentrate on how I'm speaking and what I'm
00:16saying.
00:19I feel like I'm holding my mouth different.
00:23It's just really strange for me at the moment.
00:26And I know a lot of you watching this will say, I don't know what your problem is, it's
00:30just an accent.
00:31It's so much more than just an accent, and trying to get people to understand that is
00:37really difficult.
00:39I mean, I don't know how to even begin.
00:43I spent my whole life with a voice.
00:47That voice changed.
00:49I then spent 13 months with a Welsh accent, and I accepted that, and I had to adapt to
00:57that, and now it's gone again.
01:03I don't know what my next thing is.
01:06I don't know whether my voice...
01:09I just want to be...
01:11I just want to have a voice that stays that voice so that it isn't hurting my brain.
01:18It's just hurting my head because I don't know whether I'm coming or going, and it's
01:24actually really difficult to speak in different accents, and unless you've had it, I can't
01:30explain it to you.
01:32So now I've just got to go through the motions, I guess, wait and see what happens.
01:38Is the English going to stay?
01:39Is the Welsh going to come back?
01:40Am I going to speak with a different accent?
01:43Who knows?
01:46Nobody can give me any answers regarding the accent change, so it really is a case of wait
01:55and see.
