00:00Great to be here today for the launch of the Diageo Baileys Irish Dairy Champion competition.
00:08This is a competition which is much sought after by every farmer in the country.
00:11We're very fortunate in this country to have the best milk anywhere in the world and the
00:15best drinks industry anywhere in the world and of course that combination of Irish milk
00:20and Irish spirits comes together to create Irish cream liqueur of which Diageo Baileys
00:25is a wonderful example and I wish everyone well who are taking part in the competition
00:29and indeed I wish Tierlon and Diageo Baileys very well for their wonderful partnership
00:34for the year ahead as well.
00:36Sustainability continues to be a core part of the Baileys journey and we continue to
00:40provide innovations with our long-term partners such as Tierlon around our packaging and production
00:45commitments.
00:46We've seen the introduction of new packaging methods such as the aluminium can and paper
00:52based packaging and those will continue to support the long-term viability and the long-term
00:56success of what is a global success story that is Baileys.
01:00We have been a key partner in providing fresh Irish cream for Baileys Irish cream liqueur
01:06since the beginning.
01:08Our facilities and our people in Virginia County Cabin and Ballyragged County Kilkenny
01:14are central to this partnership, producing cream that makes Baileys so distinctive and
01:19so delicious.
01:21The Baileys Cow Competition is a prestigious event that showcases the best of Irish dairy
01:27breeding and management.
01:29I look forward to seeing the entries at the Virginia show on the 21st of August and the
01:35excitement of the upcoming competition.
01:38I would like to wish all the participants the very best of luck.
