00:00The infamous Shaboozie. You know I first learned about you maybe like a year ago

00:04and I said this name and now you have taken over Shaboozie because everyone's

00:10pouring up a double shot of whiskey. You know what I'm saying? How does it feel to be

00:14performing here at the BET Awards tonight? Man one of the top moments of

00:19my entire life honestly man. I grew up watching this award show every year so

00:23to be on here finally and giving back you know I mean and giving people that

00:27hopefully they see this and they're inspired to to you know chase their

00:31dreams you know people artists. One thing I can see about your fashion is you

00:34have connected that country thing that country theme and you look good. You look

00:40you're snatched. You're snatched. What's the inspiration here and why is it so

00:45important for you to infuse country and that Western culture into this one? Yeah

00:49I think it's just to show people you know a different a different style a

00:52different a different way of life one that's just you know can be rewarding if

00:56you choose to pursue it. I'm from Virginia and my dad went to school in Texas and he

01:00immigrated here from Nigeria and the big thing for him was you know ownership and

01:05building you know and just cultivating things you know I mean he went back

01:10started a farm. He was always working always just put on us to emphasize hard

01:14work and I think that's kind of what it represents you know I mean working hard

01:17and and just chasing your dreams you know. And Shaboozie has worked his butt

01:21off. You and Beyonce making history the two black artists at the top Billboard

01:27100. Did I get that right? Yep. Billboard Hot Country 100. How does that feel to be making history with

01:36someone like that? You know it's just you know I always say like when I saw

01:41people like that and I saw just artists and individuals and people that had

01:45achieved so much for me it was like man I want to be able to stand next to those

01:48people you know it was never about you know I look up and they inspire me

01:51so much but I just wanted to be able to stand next to them as well and you know

01:54and just make sure you know make sure I also leave an imprint on things and on

01:58history so it's amazing you know it's amazing for dreams to come true. Thank

02:14give us any insight? I know you guys are pretty secretive when it comes to this

02:21I mean that's all I could really say I mean they're you know she's got a great

02:24team and a lot of people that are working all around the clock just to

02:27make sure that whatever comes out is the best that could possibly be you know so
