Amazing Rice Art in Japan

00:00Hey guys, so today we're out in the rice fields and you can see the usual colored
00:06green rice growing there and then you'll see some other colors so there's some
00:12blacks and some browns some light greens apparently they're like this from
00:17seedlings I don't quite know how they do it but apparently that's quite a
00:22standard thing they can have different colored plants rice plants so as you can
00:29see they've been planted in shapes and patterns they all seem to be growing
00:34pretty much the same rate as each other doesn't seem to be much difference in
00:37how fast they grow the different colors so they're sort of growing fairly
00:42uniformly over there and then on the other side of the road here they have
00:46this structure that is for Joe public to climb up and have a look at this art so
00:55we did that and from up there you can see quite far because it's pretty high
01:01and you can see this scene isn't that amazing so as you can see the characters
01:07are sitting on a train isn't it great it's cool isn't it so we have seen this
01:13years ago we actually came to this same place and they had a different design at
01:17that state at that time but this is their design this year so every year
01:23they have a slightly different design this is what they come up with this year
01:27isn't that cool
01:33probably have to put this on our cute stuff in Japan playlist won't we so
01:42interestingly too they also plant sunflowers directly below this thing
01:46which is pretty cool and as you can see the sun's coming from behind us so all
01:51the sunflowers are facing this way
01:53hello it's cool they're all pretty happy too and then a little bit over in the
02:01next field there's some corn starting to come up that's cool isn't it
02:15so it's an old floodplain this area so occasionally still when this heavy
02:20heavy flooding occasionally this area floods so some pretty good soil as you
02:26can see everything's really happy that cool anyway that was our afternoon in
