00:00It ends 14 years of Conservative or Coalition rule. I think you all know what I think of

00:09that period of time. Not because I have any deep personal animosity to the Conservative

00:14party or indeed any of the rather peculiar people they've chosen to be their leaders

00:19over the years, but because of the detrimental effect that has on my constituents and people

00:26across the country. We will turn a page today on that. We will welcome in a new government

00:32led by Sir Keir Starmer with a huge mandate for change in this country. Of course I welcome

00:38that, but at last it gives time for the country to breathe. We've suffered too long from incompetence,

00:45from corruption, from people looking after their own interests in that way. And it's

00:50only right now that we move on to a new era. So I hope to be part of that. I hope you will

00:55all be part of that. I do pay tribute to everyone who has taken part, whatever their

01:00political background here, but let's go forward for a brighter Britain tomorrow. Thank you
