02:17I would like to thank the returning officer, the counting and security staff, and of course
02:31the other candidates. I'd also like to thank my agent Matthew,
02:37organiser Jacob, Sue, Mike and Robert, and the remarkable team of activists in Campbell,
02:44Redruth and Hale. Tonight, from Scotland, through England and
02:53Wales, and here in Cornwall, a new wave of red is sweeping over the country. A wave of
03:04hope and optimism and change. We're turning the page on 14 years of Conservative chaos
03:16and misery. Here in Cornwall, this evening, a new Cornish
03:26red wall has been established. In Campbell, Redruth and Hale, I will honour the trust
03:40that the people have placed in me. To ensure more decisions about how we live are made
03:49in Cornwall. To build our local economy. To revitalise our public services. To rejuvenate
03:58our National Health Service. To build homes for Cornish people. To clean up our rivers
04:06and seas. To deal with the scourge of child poverty. And to protect our language and heritage.
04:18Tonight is a night to open a new chapter of hope and optimism. Tomorrow, the work begins.
04:28I am ready for the challenges ahead. Muras, thank you.
