00:00We're at the Peter Payne Sports Centre in Boston and I'm with the Acting Returning Officer
00:13for tonight's count for the Boston and Skegness constituency. Welcome! Can you explain what
00:21is going to be going on tonight? Because it looks like there's a few people who are going
00:25to be doing the count who are arriving now. Yeah, well during today we've obviously been
00:30open to the polls, 72 polling stations, with a large deployment of staff. We've got something
00:36like 72 presiding officers and 109 poll clerks. They've been busy receiving votes during the
00:44day from 7am to 10pm. From 10pm, those poll clerks, those presiding officers will be providing
00:52their ballot boxes here to the Peter Payne Centre. The ballot boxes will arrive through
00:58the entrance door and they'll go into an area to be checked off. They'll then come into the
01:02count room and we'll undergo verification. We'll just check that the ballots all tally with the
01:08accounts and then we'll move into a counting process to establish who is the winning candidate
01:15for the MP for Boston and Skegness. What time are you expecting a result? In terms of the result,
01:22we're expecting that to arrive by about 4.30am, so the early hours of tomorrow morning.
