Surah Al-Waqi'ah, also known as "The Event" or "The Inevitable," is the 56th chapter of the Holy Quran, comprising 96 verses. The Companions of the Right Hand (Ashab Al-Maimana): These individuals represent the general body of the faithful who have led virtuous lives. They will enjoy the delights of paradise, reclining on thrones, surrounded by lush gardens, and provided with abundant fruits and refreshing drinks. Their reward reflects their adherence to faith and moral conduct.
The Companions of the Left Hand (Ashab Al-Mash'ama): These are the disbelievers and sinners who have rejected the truth and indulged in wrongful deeds. Their fate is one of severe punishment, characterized by scorching heat, boiling water, and the torment of thorny plants. Their suffering is a direct consequence of their disbelief and immoral actions.
Throughout the surah, the omnipotence and creative power of Allah are highlighted.
