Tenby’s RNLI crew were tasked to check out reports that a windsurfer was spotted in trouble.
The Haydn Miller lifeboat was launched at 6.45pm on Wednesday, July 3, after the Coastguard received a call from a member of the public at Pendine, stating that a windsurder appeared to be in difficulty offshore.
The volunteer crew made best speed to Pendine and shortly before they arrived on scene, a further report confirmed that the windsurfer was not in difficulty and didn't require assistance.
The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.
