00:00I'm undecided because a lot of things that they've said is going to happen has not happened.
00:14I don't have much faith in any of my local ones at all. What would make it right? At
00:21my age with no children still at work, I don't know what would make it right. NHS for me.
00:27They promised there's support for children. My son and daughter-in-law's just had another
00:33baby and can't get her in. It's making it difficult for my daughter-in-law to go because
00:37it's alright saying they can have childcare, there's not enough nurseries. So they're promising
00:42things and not carrying on. So yeah, I'm undecided. I don't particularly agree with what any of
00:47them are saying because it's not happened when they've said it.
00:50Made my mind up, so I'll be voting tomorrow. I just feel that the country needs a different
00:57what can I say, a different perspective and you know, now things just need to change.
01:05Well the way I'm voting tomorrow is purely and simply on my base life experience of where
01:12we need to be going for the future. So I'm using my past as an indicator of the future.
01:17The policies that they put forward, they can change by events as they happen, as they go
01:23along. There's no guarantee that anything they say today will be applicable in two years'
01:28time because it could be a nuclear bomb explosion and it'll be all different again. So it is
01:34what it is and you deal with everything as it happens.
01:37What helped make this in my mind that I wanted, we're looking for someone that is actually
01:42going to help the people of this country. We're very happy for people to come in but
01:48at the moment we've got a lot of people our own who don't have anywhere to live, aren't
01:53getting any help that way around, so that was one of the main things for me. Can't
01:58think of anything else at the moment, there's probably loads of other ones but that was
02:01one of the biggest things. I was tired of no straight answers. I wanted somebody that's
02:07you know, stand by what you believe in. You might not like it but at least have a view.
02:13I've made up my mind by default. I feel that most parties are the same so it was a case
02:18of process of elimination. The candidate that currently is in charge of the constituency
02:27where I live has done nothing for us. The next party, I didn't agree with their education
02:33policy so they were off, which only left me one or two other parties to vote for and I
02:39chose the one that I seemed to align with mostly and their policy with immigration.
02:44So it was a process of elimination and that's the way I chose it. By getting rid of the
02:50ones that weren't doing anything or weren't agreeing with things that were specific to
02:54what I was, that affects me. Obviously I'm single and they don't do anything for us.
03:00They don't do anything for us. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've had children and they've
03:05flown the nest but we don't get nothing but us to help us support where obviously families
03:10do which is great but what about us lot out there? I'm doing, what, mostly between 56-70
03:16hours every week to survive, to pay my bills and everything else and I shouldn't have to.
03:23So I'm doing two people's hours basically a week and there's just no incentive. Everything's
03:29getting dearer and there's just, I look at it with no disrespect, the politicians are
03:36on a second wage, why should they be on a second wage? Why should they have a second
03:39house? That money could go somewhere else and I believe that when you get to a certain
03:43age in life, because I'm in the care industry, they shouldn't have to sell their homes either
03:48to go into care industry, that they need that care. They've worked their lives as well,
03:52what they've done for us. So no, I am very undecided because I'm a big believer that
03:58they all say that they're going to do this, this, this and when they get in, when we believe
04:02it, we don't get what they say they're going to give us.
