Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin have arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day summit meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

00:00Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin have arrived in Kazakhstan for a two-day security summit.
00:07The two leaders will discuss security and defense in the Eurasia region at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Astana.
00:15It's their second meeting this year after Putin visited Beijing in May.
00:19The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded in 2001 by China, Russia and four Central Asian states.
00:25It has since expanded to include India, Pakistan and Iran.
00:30UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is set to attend the summit.
00:34He spoke beforehand about the importance of Central Asian nations.
00:38Our wish is to see these very good relations that were established thanks to the presidents among the Central Asian countries
00:48to be translated into a much stronger economic integration, allowing the countries to be much more powerful in world affairs.
