00:10That is after our National Men's Basketball team lost their opening game in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia.
00:17In spite of the home court advantage, GILAS defeated Latvia's World No. 6 in a score of 89-80.
00:24A historic win because that was the first time the Philippines won against a European team in an official FIBA competition in 64 years.
00:33GILAS' big scorers were Justin Brownlee with 26 points and Kai Soto with 18 points.
00:39In order to advance to the semifinals, GILAS needs to beat Georgia in the group stage.
00:44Even if they lose, Georgia should not have an advantage of 19 points or more.
00:49The winner of the FIBA Olympic Qualifier will automatically receive a ticket to the Paris Olympics.
