00:00The conferences have been realigned, as Bill mentioned, if you have not been paying attention,
00:07the SEC, still the premier conference probably in the country, has added a couple of teams.
00:12The Big Ten now has 18 teams, the ACC has 17, the Big 12 has 16, the SEC has 16, and
00:21the Pac-12 has two.
00:25And I know they went off the air the other day on television, there's no more Pac-12,
00:28I did see that as well.
00:30So we could go in a number of different directions here, I mean, I guess let's start with what's
00:34going on here with the Pac-12, are they going to continue?
00:37And then, in your opinion, do you think that people will enjoy this new alignment in College
00:42Football?
00:44There's going to be a lot of surreal moments this year.
00:48And I'll start at the top, it hit me when you said 17 ACC teams, and then you're like,
00:53oh yeah, SMU, Cal, and Stanford are in that league now.
00:57And I may be watching a late night game between Stanford and Wake Forest, and it's not a basketball
01:02game.
01:03I don't know what they'll do with Oregon State and Washington State other than I think their
01:08most logical move is to probably go into the Mountain West and try to find some access
01:13into the playoff that way.
01:14It's one of the casualties of losing the Pac-12 is those are two outposts that have a history
01:20in College Football and you hate to see it go.
01:23Talking about the SEC at the top, another pinch me moment, we'll be seeing Texas and
01:27Georgia in a huge SEC game, maybe twice, maybe three times with a 12-team playoff.
01:34And of course, up here in Big Ten country, the Pac-12 games, USC and UCLA were teams
01:40that I grew up not really liking because they were the Pac-12 team at the end of the rainbow
01:46at the Rose Bowl that the Big Ten champion had to go up against.
01:48And now the game at the Coliseum and the game at the Rose Bowl is a conference game.
01:53Those are some of the moments that are going to hit me this season.
