01:37This is the same stretch where in April 2024, the Indian Air Force conducted the first test
01:43run of a 3.5-kilometer emergency landing.
01:46Active helicopters, including Chinooks and MI-17s, participated in the drill, simulating
01:52troop retrieval.
01:54The riders also visited a historical Gurudwara associated with the 6th Sikh Guru, seeking
02:01blessings in the name of IMA-101 course mates, a testament to the armed forces' diversity
02:39Uplona, an important stopover on this journey, as the brigade stationed here fought in the
02:45Mashko Valley during the Kargil War.
02:48Captain Vikram Batra's unit, the 13 Jammu and Kashmir Rifles, was part of this valiant brigade.
02:54Upon arrival at Uplona, the riders received a grand and heroic welcome, befitting their mission.
03:01As the riders dismounted their motorcycles, they were enveloped in a sea of olive green,
03:07with handshakes, hugs and heartfelt words of gratitude exchanged.
03:13These proud faces spoke volumes about the deep respect they have for the custodians
03:18of military valor while serving the nation.
