A sports-mad tot wowed beachgoers with his perfect rendition of God Save the King.

Adorable video shows Maximus Stafford, three, singing the national anthem at the top of his lungs while on holiday with his parents in Kynance Cove, Cornwall.

Incredibly, Maximus has never been taught the anthem.

He has naturally picked it up when watching rugby and football matches.

Mum Charlotte Loach, 38, a school headteacher from Tanworth-in-Arden, Warwickshire, said: "So many people stopped still in shock.

"People were clapping, saying to each other 'Oh my goodness did you just see that?'

"One person even saluted!"

Maximus first started learning the national anthem when he watched the Six Nations last year and now he hums or sings it almost daily.

Charlotte said: "We were so shocked the first time he sung it.

"We never formally taught him.

"He's just picked it up and we have corrected some of his words along the way.

"He sings it most days and always hums it when he's playing.

"He even likes to get people to put their arms around each other like the real players."
