1. Turn off the heat pump power at the breaker/disconnect switch for safety & equipment protection.
2. Locate the circuit board in the heat pump control panel; open the panel to access it.
3. Disconnect wires, label them, and remove the old circuit board using a screwdriver.
4. Install new circuit board, reattach wires to terminals, and ensure secure connections.
5. Turn the power back on to the heat pump, test operation, and thermostat function.
6. Close the control panel with screws or clips once the new board is working correctly.
7. Clean up debris and dispose of old/damaged circuit boards properly.
