00:00So my name is Paul Hassan. I'm the partnership manager for an organization called ACH.
00:06ACH is an organization that's focused on the support of effective integration for refugees and migrant communities.
00:15So it provides housing opportunities, but also support in employment, setting up businesses and help with education and training.
00:23We operate right across the West of England area and probably support close to about a thousand individuals over the course of the year.
00:30So we're looking to celebrate that with an event that we're calling the Welcome Party, which is scheduled to take place in November.
00:37We've managed to secure Sir Mo Farah to be a person that we're going to interview in the course of that event.
00:43But also what we've done is look to celebrate the food.
00:49There's a number of businesses we've supported looking to bring cuisine from Sudan, from Afghanistan, from other parts of the world to the British people.
00:57But also the people that we've been training through the hospitality program.
01:01We've also got musicians that we've helped support.
01:04One of the other kind of elements we've added is mixers for mocktails and cocktails to be developed through with refugee women looking at developing creativity.
01:14So in short, the idea will be we're looking to demonstrate all the different ways in which refugee and migrant communities are already contributing.
01:24And how many people are you expecting to attend this event then?
01:28Well, it's in the iconic Mount Without venue. If anyone in Bristol knows that it's an old converted church, it's an absolutely beautiful venue.
01:35Obviously, we'll listen then to Mo Farah's story, get the chance to meet and speak to this great national treasure who himself was trafficked as a child.
01:44Nevertheless, overcome those adversities to become someone who was knighted and has been a really great source of inspiration, not just the refugee community, but to many people across the country.
