00:10In this regard, the President Nicolás Maduro affirmed that a new cycle is beginning in

00:14which Caracas and Washington will hold meetings in public, this after the President announced

00:20the failure of the United States to comply with what was previously agreed in secret

00:25meetings between the two governments.

00:27In this sense, the Venezuelan President stated that one of the key issues will be the lifting

00:31of the sanctions imposed against Venezuela in order to advance in the economic understanding

00:37and the improvement of the quality of life of the Venezuelan people.

00:50I am a man of dialogue, and through dialogue I want Venezuela to be respected, to make

00:55our country, its democracy, its people respected.

00:59I want to overcome this zero-sum conflict, a conflict of brutal and sterile confrontation

01:16For two continuous months I have received from the government of the United States the

01:20proposal to reestablish talks and a direct dialogue.
